Wishes

Anything Goes is the theme for our new challenge at Creative Knockouts and we have a fabulous sponsor to help us get started - The Artsy Stamper.

The feather is from the Nesting Sparrows Set and I decided to try some heat embossing with my new heat tool from Christmas.  I had a heat gun from the hardware store, it was normally something you would use for more industrial tasks so I had to be really careful as it would get so hot it would burn the edges of the paper if I got too close.

I used a VersaMark pen to moisten the areas I wanted to apply embossing powder then watched my new toy do it's job.  The powder didn't like the finer lines, I possibly should have gone over with the pen a few times.  I used gold and copper spritz on the card then framed it with some gold background paper.

The digital sentiment is one that I have had for a very long time, it's named as Susan's Sentiments 2 however I have no idea who Susan is as I would love to give her credit.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creations!

Welcome - Two Meanings

Not only did I create a card to welcome a new arrival, I've been welcomed into a new design team, Creative Sketchy Girls!  I'm excited to be a part of this amazing team and to get my creativity flowing with some fun sketches they have planned throughout the year - I hope you join in the fun!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Sheepski Designs and this darling little image is Little Heart.  I used Copic markers to color the image and used Spellbinders to create the ovals, regular and scallop.  To create the layout, the papers I used are from It's a Boy from Carta Bella.

If you follow my posts, you'll know I don't really like making shaker cards but I decided to give it another shot.  One of my pet peeves is that the elements inside always fall to the bottom and to me the effect is lost.  This time I added some clear glue on the paper so some of the sequins would stay in place.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you join us for our Sketch challenge, I look forward to seeing your creations!

Snowboarder

Creatalicious Challenge time! Our theme for this challenge is ATG with optional "Kraft Paper".  Our sponsor for this challenge is The Paper Shelter and they have so many adorable images to choose from, make sure to check their store out!

For this challenge I decided to go completely digital.

This wintery image is Snowboarder Girl and not only does it come in black and white, you will also receive color images and a beautiful digital background to play with.

Since our "optional" was Kraft paper, I used digital background paper from The Digi Rainbow Christmas Kraft Pack.  The additional elements are from the I Love Snow Complete Pack over at Snap Click Supply Co.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see your creations!

2020 Wiped Me Out!

Welcome back and Happy 2021!  Christmas Craft Creations has a new challenge and our theme this month is Ribbon or Twine.  You have a choice, or maybe use both - the possibilities are endless!

I have recently used this image and have decided to use it again in a different layout.  I love this image from Whimsy Stamps, TP Dudley is too funny! TP Dudley is a freebie so if you don't have him already, you should!

I colored Dudley with Copic markers then fussy cut the image.  I used Party Time stencil by Ranger with distress inks to create the background.  The sentiment was computer generated and for the finishing touch, added matching ribbon. I used pop dots on Dudley then stuck him to the middle of the card.

Hope you enjoy the humor and let 2021 begin!
(please remember to add the challenge graphic above to your post for your chance to win)
