Rain on your parade...

Hello, hello!

It's May 1st and that means today is all about a brand new Farm Fresh Challenge at The Greeting Farm! As you know, a new challenge is issued at the beginning of every month over on the TGF blog and this time around it is...  'Swing Into Spring'. This theme is loaded with possibilities, inspiration can come from spring time color schemes, spring activities or even the unpredictable spring weather. All you have to do is ink up a character from the TGF store that best encapsulates your interpretation of the theme and you could win a $50 gift certificate!

For my card I inked up the sassy Creeper Riley because her hoodie looked like it would make for the perfect rain slicker. I guess that makes it pretty obvious that I pulled inspiration for my card from our spring weather. It's a safe bet that we will get our share of passing rain showers this time of year and I love how Riley's attitude kinda says, "Wet hair? Don't care." Nothing is bringing this girl down and I think that makes for a perfect stay positive kind of card. :)

Alrighty friends, have fun with this one. I can't wait to see what you create!

Dreams do come true...

Hi there!

For my card today I pulled out the Ever After stamp kit to create a super cute scene. There are so many adorable little Beans in this set, all dressed up like characters from a fairy tale, it was hard to pick just two to color up. When I finally settled on this couple I ended up going with an Ariel and Prince Eric look for them. And I can't even tell you how much I love the castle that is included in the set as well. I stamped it in grey tones and kept my Copic colors less intense to try and make it look like it was further in the background.
There is good news too if you missed out on ordering this set the first time it was available... May 1st-5th pre-orders will go up in the TGF store for not only the new Aloha stamp kit but also many of the past kits which includes Ever After! So mark your calendars if you've had some of these on your stampy wish list, I know I will be hitting the store first thing!  ;)

Have a great weekend everybody!

Celebrating...

Good morning!

Today I've made a card for this week's Bellarific Friday Challenge which is Birthday Wishes. Tiny Townies Birthday Party was the perfect stamp and I was excited to have the perfect reason to finally get them on a card. I stamped these party girls on some vintage cream cardstock using a dark brown ink then proceeded to color them up in some bright, happy colors. Then I masked off the balloons and stamped on these cool streamers to make the scene extra festive. A sprinkling of matching sequins and this birthday card was fun and done.  :)

Alrighty, it's off to work for me. Have a good one!

You always shine...

Hi there!

Ok, so I swear this is my last unicorn/pegasus card that I'll be posting this week. But I really wanted to get both the pegasus from the Magical Friends set and the Your Wings pegasus on a card together. These cuties can take to the skies and soar as far as their imaginations can take them. I also couldn't resist adding another winged friend from the old Never Ever set... a tiny version of the Tink Fairy! I created the watercolor background myself by 'smooshing' on four different Distress Ink colors. I was going for an abstract sunrise kind of look and I think I pulled it off. ;)
This card is up over on The Greeting Farm blog today too as part of the CardMaker Magazine blog hop that is going on. So be sure to check that out and get in on the fun!
