Hello there! It's October 1st and that means a brand new Farm Fresh Challenge is underway at The Greeting Farm! As you know a new
challenge is issued at the beginning of every month over on the TGF blog
and I'm sure it is no surprise that the theme for October is all about having some "Spooky Fun". There are so many cute Halloween stamps and digis to be found in the TGF store or why not ink up a non-themed image and make it work by just using some creative coloring and paper choices? Either way, playing along enters you in for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate!
For my card I was inspired by all of the gorgeous Day of the Dead sugar skull make up that can be found on Pinterest and the gorgeous new Cheeky Deco digi had just the look I needed to pull it off. Because the ladies always seemed to have an abundance of flowers adorning their skully look I chose this pretty Halloween floral print paper from Pebbles and let its color palette guide me. Next I stamped up some spooky tombstones for Deco to rest against... I just hope she doesn't get too comfortable, if you know what I mean... LOL! ;)
Alrighty friends, have fun with this one. I can't wait to see what you create!

TGIF my friends!
It is a VERY good day in the Young household because I was one of the ten lucky ladies announced as a MFT 2016 Card Design Superstar... woot, woot! I am just over the moon excited and I literally can't stop smiling. :)
It was my Happy Girls card that got me the win and I thought today would be a fun opportunity to share a card that I made as a possible entry into the contest and instead inspired my second attempt that actually won. You can see the narrow strip idea is in place with all the kitties from the Cool Cat set peeking in. I used the cool Party Patterns set to add color to the kraft background and frame the image panel in a funky way. While I think it turned out to be a very fun and happy card it also felt a bit busy. So I took the idea and edited it down, shifting the elements and streamlined the overall design. It doesn't mean I don't like this card, because I do, but I'm also grateful for what I learned from it.
I also added a little something to the inside of the card, which I don't often do. But once I settled on the 'nine lives' sentiment I just couldn't leave the card with only seven kitties on it. Call it card making OCD I guess, LOL! ;)
Alrighty, have a wonderful weekend everybody!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
stamps- My Favorite Things (Cool Cat set and Party Patterns set)
ink- Memento tuxedo black and rich cocoa, Studio Calico and Versamark clear

Sprinkled with love...
Hey there!
A few weeks ago, my good friend Tracey and I made it our goal to color up each of the cupcakes from the Papertrey Ink Baker's Dozen stamp set. The set contains a sweet little themed cupcake for each month of the year and we just had a blast working our way through each one. Now I've got a pretty little stack of cupcakes waiting to get on a card or two and my new goal is to post one a month over the next year. Tracey and I started with September's cupcake so I figured I should hurry and get this one put together and up before it was too late. We did a bit of masking to get three cupcakes together because having the red, green and golden apples all next to each other looks pretty darn cute. :)
Okay then, time for me to get my day going.

Hello...
Olo!
This new Delight Anya is the Super Secret Stamp Club September stamp and I fell in love with her immediately. So much so that I decided she would be perfect as my new Facebook avatar for the fall season. I actually got her all colored up last week but I finally had a bit of time to get her on a card yesterday. The papers are classic October Afternoon and they are still a favorite after all these years. Anya looks quite lovely in the two different shades of orange that I pulled from the paper and she is ready to take a stroll on this beautiful autumn day. Well, that's all I've got for today.
Later gators! :)

Happy Halloween...
Hello, hello!
I've got a quick Halloween card to share today featuring the Scaredy Cats set from The Greeting Farm. This time around I colored up the mustachioed little gent who is looking all highfalutin in his top hat and bow tie. Something about this fancy feline had me picturing him as a Siamese cat so I just went with that idea. Now he's just hangin' out on the porch on Halloween night chatting up that pair of jack o'lanterns. What a character! It looks like Scaredy Cats is currently sold out but I bet they will be back on the store shelves before you know it. :)
Alrighty, gotta run!

Happy harvest...
Good morning!
How adorable is this little apple pickin' sweetie? Seriously, as soon as I saw Apple over at Mo's Digital Pencil on Friday I knew that I had to snap her up. Growing up and living in apple country I can so relate to everything about this image. In fact, she totally reminds me of my little sister when she was just a tot... hanging out with the big kids while we all 'helped' to pick the fruit. Harvest is currently wrapping up at the moment so this seemed to be the perfect time to get her on a card. I decided to give her some yummy Honey Crisps to munch on since they are my personal faves and had a lot of fun coloring them all up. I'm also going ahead and entering this card into the current "anything goes" challenge at Mo's Digital Challenge.
Okey doke, thanks for dropping by... see ya'll again tomorrow! :)
Supply list:
