quick thank you -and HAPPY NEW YEAR

I often have attractive DP that I would like to display - thanks for a sketch that allows the pattern to show!  I did switch to an oval die cut, and lowered the position, but still pretty much followed the sketch.  The sentiment QKR Stampede.  IRL the Washi tape looks better than it does on the screen!

TY to Joyce

I am making a couple of cards as a thank you for a friend who gave me a large stack of envelopes to use for my cards.  How nice!  I would also like to have a total of 250 cards for the year - I might make it!  For this card I started with an image that has been in my files for a long time - my label says Antique Images. The papers all come from a pad by K&Company.  I added a Cheery Lynn branch die cut, a Fiskars Border punch, and a bit of a gold sticker strip.

DT card for QKR Stampede ~ ATG with Snowman option

This week the challenge at QKR Stampede is once again Anything Goes. If you wish, you may do the Snowman option - there are so many cute snowmen out there!  (Right now, I am sure a few of you have seen enough snow to last you for a while!)  The challenge is open through Thursday at 4 p.m EST, and you may enter as many as 3 times.  Winners receive digis from QKR - more if you use one of their images.
This digi, from the QKR  collection, is called Snowman Couple.  I thought it would make a cute anniversary card - but I will decide later and add a sentiment then.  I used a bit of shiny red gel pen and enhanced it and the DP with red glitter.  The horizontal panel is actually a bit of gold mesh.  When I stopped at the 99 Cents Only store I found a few Christmas items on sale for a quarter - could not resist the rolls of mesh and some tissue paper!  The bg uses the Snowflake embossing folder by Cuttlebug.

Final Christmas 2017

I thought I had finished cards for 2017, but here is one more, using the same image I have already used a lot - it is an older freebie on a blog called Beyond the Fringe.  Thank you!  This card is alrady in the mail as of yesterday so I cannot re-do the photo - I just noticed that the gold sticker strips I used along the edge (below the stars) is not visible.  For the integrity of the sketch - they are there!  I printed the inside verse on a sheet of paper, and used the gold cord to hold it in place.
