RubberNecker prize- Roses

I was lucky enough to win several RubberNecker stamps at a recent Die Cuttin' Divas challenge.  This is actually a two step stamp, but I need to practice a bit using that technique - no extra time today!  I did watercolor these lovely summer roses. The sentiment is a library stamp from 7Gypsies.   At least, when we lived in Nebraska, roses certainly meant summer  - not so much here in Arizona!  Also, when I see them, I am reminded of the old song "Red Roses for a Blue Lady".

Remembering the fallen military heroes - Memorial Day 2018

Image:   Eureka- Star Flag Header; Sentiment - Eureka Freedom; misc. DP; Washi tape.  I distressed the edges and used chalk pencils for a softer look - to convey the impression of an aged banner.
