Happy New Year from Bonnie Garby

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi Cheery Lynn lovers.  Bonnie here today from Make Time to Craft.

Wow!  Can you believe it's already the end of 2017?  Where did this year go?!  Anyway, Happy New Year from me and Cheery Lynn Designs.  I hope you have some fun plans for today.
My card design today is something that would work interchangeably with another sentiment die.  Since I was creating a Happy New Year card, I went with black, silver and gold for my color palette.  This would be a really cool invite to a party if you are planning that far in advance for next year.  :)

My bow was created with two of the ribbon styles from the December Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool.  The center of the bow is finished off with a pretty Silver Glitter Stardust Rhinestone.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year Hostess Gift idea!

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Hi there Cheery Lynn fans, Maggi here.  First, I want to wish you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.  I hope 2018 is memorable for you in many good ways!   I'm sad to say that this is my farewell post for Cheery Lynn Designs.  It has been a wonderful 13 months designing for them and I am so appreciative of the opportunity given me.  Thank you so much everyone at Cheery Lynn Designs.  I love their dies, they are so imaginative and fun to work with.  However, it is time to let someone else enjoy the privilege of being on Cheery Lynn's design team.

Now let's look forward to the New Year celebrations.  To to kick off the holiday, I've turned an ordinary bottle of champagne into  a fun hostess gift by adding this shaker bottle hanger.  I used the New Year 2017 Shaker Die Set to make the shaker.  The die has 2017 as part of it's design so I just simply cut that off and glued the included sentiment, Happy New Years, to the acetate on the front of the shaker.

I used a large cut from the Coved Rectangle Stitch And Cut Tool set and placed behind the bottle hanger, using the bottle hanger as the 2nd layer.  On top of that I used a black starred layer cut with the A2 Frames Rectangular Scalloped set.  Next is the floral design paper cut with the Pierced Stacker 2 set.   All the papers I used are from Graphic 45's Vintage Hollywood collection and the dancing couple is fussy cut from one of the design papers.

The flowers are handmade using a mix of layered cuts from the Judy's Blooms Die,  Sweet Williams Die,  Indie Bouquet , and Floral Bouquet Kit 8 Piece Die Sets.

To top the hanger and give a real festive look, I added two pretty bows and a floral center.

One thing I really love is a pretty swirly flourish and here I've used Flourish #7 Die.

Fancy Reindeer card with Cheryl Walker

Hello Crafty friends ,and happy Friday to you all!
I hope you had a very Merry Christmas, and got to spend it with your family and friends. This is my last Christmassy card for 2017, gonna miss making them, as I always enjoy making Christmas cards every year.

So for my card today I chose to use Cheery Lynn's Fancy Reindeer, Tree from the Camping set, and holly & berries from the Christmas Bell set, all listed below with links. Love how they all work together on my card. On the tree I colored with copics, and then added some stickles. All die cuts were colored using copic markers, love the look they give to my card.

Winter Fun with Laurie Schmidt

12:30 AM 3 Comments

Hi everyone!

Laurie here from Stamping Up North!

I hope you all had a great Christmas and are enjoying some vacation....maybe even enjoying some winter activities like this cute Snow Day Bear.
He looks like he's having lots of fun out sledding!

I made a snowy hill for him out of a pierced circle and added a few pine trees from the Bringing Home Christmas set. The background trees are cut from the Aspen Forest die. I love how it has a frame all around it...such a beautiful die!
I took some white acrylic paint, mixed it with a bit of water and made some splatters for snow with a toothbrush. Then I stamped the sentiment in black.

Here's a list of the dies I used:

Feliz Navidad with Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Good morning!  I made a number of gift tags this Christmas.  This was quick to construct but with the colors and gorgeous font of the Feliz Navidad die, it dresses up simple gifts perfectly.  The holly is part of the same die set and with a little bending of the edges of the leaves the leaves really spring to life.  I popped the circle up using foam adhesive for extra dimension and added snowflakes and red pearls for holly berries.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

3:30 AM 0 Comments
Hello Cheery Lynn fans and Merry Christmas to you!!  I hope you are all spending the day with family and friends and good food.

Today I'm sharing a quick ornament I made with my favorite Christmas die from Cheery Lynn Designs this year - Brad the Reindeer.  It may be too late for this year, but it's never too soon to start planning for next year, right?

This die set makes things super easy because there is a separate die for each layer and you just cut them in the colors of your choice and assemble.  And look how wonderful it comes out!
Brad the Reindeer is just toooo cute!  He is perfect for cards, gift tags or for a Christmas tree ornament which is what I did here.  I made him double sided so he's perfect for the tree.

Here he is on my tree.  Most of my ornaments are hand-made ornaments I created through the years.  I don't have as much time for the elaborate ornaments any more, but Brad was a quick and easy addition this year.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas and a
Happy New Year!!

Merry Christmas by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone, it's JULIE here and Happy Christmas to all our Cheery Lynn fans. Today I'm sharing some last minute Christmas inspiration for a fairly quick card to make should you have forgotten someone last minute or are in need of a Gift Card.

My card has all been cut out in glitter card for lots of sparkle. My Icicles have been drop shadowed with silver glitter card under the white glitter card to make them 'pop' from the white background. I also drop shadowed my sentiment.

My whimsical car I cut out in white card and then cut out my elements in glitter card trimmed the sections I wanted and glued on top of the white card, adding a couple of gems onto the wheels.

Wishing you a wonderful festive season with precious memories.
