Ten Minute Monday- 08/31/09

I have started to see a few holiday cards here and there, so I figured I would make one. Originally I was going to do this layout with flowers. I found these awesome rhinestones and pearls, that are exactly the same as the Kaiser ones, at the dollar store. I was trying to come up with ways to use them. Since I just wasn't feeling the flowers, I thought, snowflakes, that will work!
Supplies:
Stamps: Snowflake Serenade, Holiday Wishes
Ink: Vintage Vanilla
Paper: Enchanted Evening
Accessories, etc.: Pearls

FTL 57

Here's my take on FTL 57. I went for a retro, funky type of color combo and image choice. Have a good one! Supplies: stamps - Background Basics Retro, Mega Mixed Messages (PTI) paper - white, scarlet jewel, ripe avocado, spring rain ink - choc acc - choc brads

FTL57 - Hello From the Heart

Happy Sunday! This is the card I created using the latest Fall-to Layout Sketch, which is one of my favorites. I think the layout is super fun because you can use so many different shapes (hearts, stars, squares, circles, flowers, trees, pumpkins, eggs, etc... the list goes on and on!). :)

To create this card, I stamped the hearts with Aqua Mist ink onto Aqua Mist paper, and then punched them out with a small heart punch. The sentiment is from the Vintage Picnic Basket set, and instead of using it as one long sentence, I inked up and stamped the different parts of the sentence to fit my little 1" circle. All of the hearts and the sentiment were attached to the card base with pop dots.

Supplies: Stamps - Heart Prints, Vintage Picnic Basket Sentiments Ink - Aqua Mist, Soft Suede Paper - Kraft, Whisper White, Aqua Mist Miscellaneous - Small Heart Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch

FTL#57 Happy Retirement

Here is my take on the layout for this week. I love the fall colors and just got this patterned paper from PaperTrey so I had to use it. Each square is 1". The middle square was stamped with a leaf from PaperTrey's Fall Elegance set and the sentiment from Mixed Messages and attached with a dimensional. I used the Versamagic Pumpkin Spice ink to distress the edges. Supplies: Stamps - PaperTrey; Ink - Versamagic Pumpkin Spice, Versafine Onyx Black; Paper - PaperTrey Vintage Cream, Autumn Abundance dp; Misc - Dimensional.

Fall-to Layout #57

It's Friday, so it's time for another sketch. This sketch can easily applied even simpler than my sample card. It would also apply to something a bit more complex.
To simple it down, you could make it a single layer with just stamped squares or circles. If you wanted to make it a bit fancier, you could have different types of embellishments in each spot. You could also make it into a pieced together mosaic, where you stamp on one larger square, then cut it up. It's up to you! Each of my squares measures 1-1/4, with a 1-3/8 mat.
Supplies: Stamps: Hugs from a Bug
Ink: Tuxedo Black
Paper: Smokey Grey, Pure Poppy, White
Accessories, etc.: Copic markers

Ten Minute Monday- 08/24/09

This was truly a 5 minute card, tops. I didn't even have to think hard about my colour combination. I decided to use the suggested colours in Dawn's colour challenge. I took 3 images from gel-a-tins Unbeleafable, arranged them in a pleasing manner, grabbed a sentiment from PTI's Mixed Messages and finished it off with a bit of ribbon.
Supplies:
Stamps: Unbeleafable, Mixed Messages
Ink: Melon Berry, Hibiscus Burst, Spring Moss
Paper: Vintage Cream
Accessories, etc.: Hibiscus Burst Twill ribbon

FTL56 - I'm Here For You

Greetings from the Outer Banks. :) My family and I are vacationing down in Duck, NC this week. Luckily, I was able to steal a few moments before we hit the road to make a card using the most recent
