New Challenge at Penny's - Birthdays

There's a brand new challenge on the Penny's Challenge Blog today and this week our theme is 'birthdays' - another nice and easy one!

For all the details plus the cards from my fellow Design Team members, have a look at the blog here.  Our sponsors for this challenge are My Heart Pieces and Dustin Pike.

My card was made using an image from Dustin Pike called 'Cupcake Monkey' which you can find here on the website.  The paper I used is from Trimcraft - it's actually from a Christmas pad but the colours suited the image perfectly - and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Anything Goes Challenge Blog - 'anything goes'
Party Time Tuesdays - 'anything goes'
My Mum's Craft Shop Challenge - 'bold and bright'
I Love Promarkers - 'cute'

New Nutcrafters Challenge - Ribbon and/or Twine

It's my turn to host the Nutcrafters Challenge this fortnight and my choice is 'use ribbon and/or twine' - nice and easy!  You can find all the details plus the cards from my fellow Design Team members here on the Nutcrafters blog.

For my card I've used one of the lovely digi images from the new 'Angel Collection' - this one is called 'Angel Cake' and you can find it here on the website.  The paper I've used is from Dovecraft and I've used white sheer ribbon plus twine across the middle of my card.  The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Creative Craft Challenges - 'special occasion (not birthdays)'
Anything Goes Challenge Blog - 'anything goes'
OLLCB - 'Christmas'
Hooked on Craft - 'Christmas - no red or green'
The Crafty Pad - 'Christmas is Coming'

I'm back today with some more cards made with the CD rom 'Brushstrokes in the Wild' from Card Creations Plus which is the current Four Day Deal on Create and Craft - I'm part of the Design Team who made sample cards for the TV shows.

My first card (above) uses a tiger image which I've decoupaged and great tiger backing paper.

Next an easel card using a cat image:

Then a card using the panda image:

Finally a card using the owl image:

Totally Gorjuss - 'things with wings' (last card)

Here's a very simple Christmas card made using the 'We Three Kings' stamp from Little Claire which you can find here on their website.

I used Adirondack Cool Peri ink with Cut and Dry foam around the stamped image and then layered it on to black and white card.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

New from Little Claire - 'Girly Changing Tree'

Another great new addition to the 'Changing Tree' stamp sets has just been added to the Little Claire blog and this time it's a set of gorgeous girly embellishments!  You can find the embellishments here on the website.  The ideal is that you stamp just the tree itself (available here with the original embellishments) and then build up the rest of the design yourself using the little embellishment stamps so you always get your own unique design!  As well as these embellishments and the ones in the original pack, you can also buy a set for Christmas and a Baby set.

For my first card (above) I used paper from the Back to Basics III pack plus some dark brown paper and some pink Bazzill card.  The sentiment I've used is from the 'Dictionary Definitions' set and I finished the card with some little paper flowers, coloured with a Promarker plus some Glamour Dust.

For my next card I used one of the Fanciful Card blanks and some paper from Papermania.  I've applied some of the Glitter Sparkle Sheet over the main image and then edged it with brown ink.  The sentiment is from the 'Dictionary Definitions' set again and I finished the card with some little self adhesive pearls.

I'd like to enter my cards in the following challenges:

Totally Stampalicious - 'anything goes'
Love to Create - 'lots of layers' (first card)
Dream Valley - 'glitter and bling'
Card Crafter's Circle - 'a day at the races (glitz and glamour)
Paper Pretties Monday Challenge - 'bling'

Create and Craft Four Day Deal - Part 1

The new four day deal on Create and Craft is a Card Creations Plus CD rom called 'Brushstrokes in the Wild' - once again, I was part of the Design Team making sample cards for the TV shows and I'll be sharing my cards over the next two days.

There are some amazing paintings on the CD rom and they're perfect for making cards for all occasions including cards for men.  For each of the paintings there are a series of toppers and verses plus different backing papers and borders.  The great thing about the toppers is that they look like they have been layered up (as you can see in the photo above) but print out flat - they give you dimension on your cards without the extra layers adding to postage charges.  I also love the tartan papers on the CD rom - you can see one of them in the photo of the card above.

Here's my next card using a zebra topper:

And the next using a giraffe image:

and finally a card using a leopard image:

I'll have some more cards to share tomorrow.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge - 'male card' (last card)
SJ Crafts Shop Blog - 'birthdays' (third card)
Southern Girls Challenge - 'animals'
Bearly Mine Challenges - 'easel cards' (third card)
Here Come the Boys - 'die cuts or punches' (last card)
Tammy's Scrapin' Corner - 'anything goes'
Craft Your Passion - 'inspiration photo' (last card)
