Sketch & Stash Challenge # 10

Another fab sketch for the latest challenge over on Sketch & Stash.

The image is one of the new digi-stamps by Chris Dark available to download over on the Sketching Stamper Digi-Stamps. I'm a sucker for oriental so couldn't wait to get his one printed and coloured. Coloured with copics and blender with a touch of clear sakura stardust on some of the outlines. Inked the edges of the image then mounted onto silver mirror card. DP's are all K & Co, and the edges were inked. The plain deep purple paper is from my stash and embossed through the bug. Finished with some card candy.

I've flipped the sketch around to the opposite side, below is the sketch to follow.

Off to work in Emma's sandwich shop this morning and for those who have reminded me about being careful with the hotplate, I had a slight run in with it on Tuesday...lol, nothing major, but I'll definately be extra careful from now on. Enjoy your day!!

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #5

WOW what a wonderful response to our challenge last week, all such beautiful creations and it was such a delight to visit your blogs, thank you to all who took part.

This week the theme is 'Mother's Day', I know for some of us this day has already passed but we can still celebrate mother's, so we would love to see your creations with mum's in mind be it a card or other project. Your creation just needs to include at least one stamped item or digi-stamp and be made exclusively for our challenge to be in with a chance of winning this weeks prize. The DT have come up trumps with some gorgeous inspiration for you, so please check out their work over on the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge Blog.

The prize this week is sponsered by the talented Chris Dark, and the winner will get a choice of SIX Digi-Stamps.

After yesterdays sneak peek I can now reveal the whole picture of my DT offering.

The image is one of Chris Dark's digi-stamp's called 'Daisy Crazy'. Coloured with copics and blender and the edges are chalked in orange. Base scalloped card is from Craftwork Cards, papers are Funky Fairys from the free 'Simply Swirly' set available on the Inspirational Blog. Ribbon from my craft stash then finished with card candy. 'Mum' has been handwritten on the bottom corner of the image. I do hope you'll join us for the challenge, looking forward to seeing your work.

Number Two For My Nan and Challenges

Here's the second card for my nan, which will be from my mum and step-dad.

I've used another of Chris Dark's gorgeous digi-stamps, as the flowers are just perfect for my nan, coloured with copics and blended. I've used the Tall Stories Keepsake Board for the card design, much the same as a bookatrix but portrait rather than landscape. Background layer is silver embossed card from Crafters Companion (won this on the One Stop Craft Challenge a few weeks ago), the middle layer is white hammer card and the top layer is paper from K & Co. The sentiment was done on the PC. Blue shimmer ribbon down the centre is from my scraps stash. Due to the patterns and textures I didn't want to over do the embellishments so just added some flat-backed heart and circle pearls. The turquoise/blue is my nan's favourite colour, so I'm sure she'll love this.

I'm so behind with challenges this week so just had a peak to see if this would fit any of the challenges and yipee there are two. The first is ABC Challenge which is 'H is for Hearts', I've used heart gems, so that should qualify. The second is Creative Card Crew which is 'Textures', the scalloped edges are all embossed and the silver card is also embossed, so hopefully this is OK.

Just need to make a box for it now!!

One For My Nan

It's my nan's 80th birthday on the 14th April, she is flying up to Scotland to visit my mum and step-dad for a couple of weeks this afternoon. As a surprise my mum is holding a little get together for her this coming Saturday, and as an extra surprise myself and my youngest brother are also going to be there. Well Steve and myself will actually be surprising her on Friday when we arrive at my mum's.
Anyway, I need to do two cards for her and here is the one from us.

The image is a gorgeous digi-stamp by Chris Dark, coloured with Twinkling H2O's and a waterbrush, I've also added a few dew drops using some 3D glaze.

Cut out image and gold matting using Labels '2' nesties then stenciled a gold rim around image and inked the edges in red. Sentiment was done on the PC and again cut-out using the label nesties.

Paper is K & Co and the red rose panel is organza type material with printed red roses, I bought this material in different colours and designs back last year and have only used recently. Added some gold ribbon going through the sentiment.

To finish I've stamped some swirls in red (though they look brown in the pic) to the top corners and added three tiny red gems.

Thank you for visiting and your coments are much appreciated. xx

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge #43

This week over on A Spoon Full of Sugar the theme is 'Little Gem'. They want to see gems on your creations.

The image I've used is 'Vicky' by the talented Chris Dark. Coloured using copics then inked and chalked the edges. The base card is leather effect black card I ran some blue sticky back plastic through my bug using the 'Script' folder, the picture doesn't really show the blue of the plastic, sorry. Flowers are from my crafting stash, punched some smaller flowers out of the black card then added a blue gem to the centres. Finished with some blue square gems.
