An outdoor scene

This is my design card for the Glory of Christmas challenge 73: an outdoor scene. Please click on the link to see the lovely designs of the rest of the team and join in our challenge.

I used a glittered outdoor scene that was rescued from a card received last year or before, matting it on to a foiled background on to which was stuck an offcut strip of striped card on to which I added a couple of almost-rejected pieces of ribbon (two separate pieces because there wasn't a long enough piece for the whole length).

Using die cuts

This is my design card for Suzy Bee's Bloomin' challenge 108: anything goes with a twist ... use a die cut. Please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of others in the DT and join in our challenge.

I love the Lacy Sunshine Christmas boo image (coloured digitally in Microsoft Paint) - Lacy Sunshine are sponsoring Suzy Bee's this week. I die cut this using a Docrafts Xcut rectangle parenthesis die, using a larger one to cut out the mat underneath, using an offcut from my Christmas box. The background card is from Kanban (it's been lurking for some time now), a couple of Poundland flowers and a red and pink bow rescued from a box of freebie No. 7 cosmetics and a silver sentiment saying Happy Christmas.

Winter wonderland

I used a free scenic snow background that I found here, printing it out and sticking to my card blank, mounting the lovely Sparkle n Sprinkle winter wonderland (SnS are sponsors of the challenge), adding a printed sentiment strip and a lovely white flower from Hobbycraft.
