Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper April challenge

It's no April fool that already a quarter of the year has gone and here we are starting the month of April. That means that there is a new challenge for Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper - please click on the link to see the wonderful variety of lovely designs by my team, all using patterned paper in their own creative styles. We hope that you will be able to join in our challenge this month - all you have to do is create a design using some patterned paper in some way ... and you can enter as many times as you like ... and, as usual, there is a prize for the randomly chosen winner.

A while ago I bought a box of Crafter's Companion Downton Abbey papers and all sorts of elements - I was able to make quite a few cards for a sale that was held here to raise money for Admiral nurses for people with dementia and their carers. This is one of the cards I made. The only thing that was added was the peacock which was cut out from a paper from Tiger (I wish I had cut out the white bit between the legs, but I didn't ... so it's too late.

CHNC challenge extra for April

It seems incredible that a quarter of the year has gone already and we are now starting April. I know that a lot of people think it is odd and unnecessary to make Christmas creations this early in the year,, but there are others, like myself, who think it makes sense to avoid a rush towards the end of the year ... and the days, weeks and months go by so quickly.

So this is my design card for CHNC challenge extra for April - please click on the link to see the lovely designs of my super team and we would love to see your Christmas creations - you may enter as many times as you wish with any Christmas designs ... and, as usual, there's a super prize to be won by the randomly chosen winner.

The papers I used are both from my offcuts box - the one with the green, red, white, black stripes is Bohemia Christmas believe and the paper in the foreground is from a DCWV paper pack.

The image is little penguin winter - skate kindly supplied by Bugaboo Stamps who are sponsoring the challenge, coloured with spectrum noir pens and die cut with a Spellbinders nestie scalloped circle. This image is one of the earliest I had from Bugaboo and is still one of my favourites.

The sentiment was generated on my dymo letratag label maker.

Shadow box card

This is my design shadow box card for The glory of Christmas challenge 81. Please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of others in the team and join in our challenge ... you can either make a Christmas shadow box card or anything goes as long as it's Christmas.

I cheated a bit and used a ready cut template for the box card, lining the middle with some DCWV glitter paper and adding a Santa picture that I rescued from a card received. The striped glittered paper on the two outside flaps is also from DCVW. Greetings from Christmas stash.

Papers are Bo Bunny silver & gold collection, with the grey offcut from Echo park very merry Christmas paper pad. The image is from The stamping boutique (one of this week's sponsors). I used some grosgrain ribbon from Hobbycraft for the sentiment.
