Hot Holiday Wishes

This image is probably more relevant to the temperatures we have here for Christmas.  For us, Christmas is in the middle of summer - although I have to admit we don't have the temperature extremes that other countries have!

The Corrosive Challenge - Lots of Layers
http://corrosivechallengesbyjanet.blogspot.co.nz/2016/06/june-challenge-6-lots-of-layers.html

I have used three papers from Bearly Mine Designs.  The mage is from QKR Stampede - I paper pieced some of it with 2 of the Bearly Mine Designs papers and then added some further colour using copic markers.  The sentiment is from a paper pad by Kaisercraft - the colour works well with the papers.  I used some pearlised paper for matting the image.

If you can't stand the heat......

... don't light the candles.  I love this sentiment - and I thought this was a perfect image for it!

I have had both the paper and the image printed out since early June - and only just managed to find the time to create with them!

Summer Memories

Unfortunately at the moment that is all that summer is - a distant memory.  We have had yet another day of rain - and at times today I heard thunderclaps as well.

Life is Better in the Summer

I'd have to agree with that!  We are stuck in the middle of winter at the moment - but I'm really looking forward to summer weather again.

I wasn't sure whether a seahorse counted as an animal - definitions of what is an animal differ from person to person.  I went with the idea that it is!

Aries

I decided to create a CAS card this time - I wanted to keep the fading out of the colours on the background paper which I felt I would lose if I added too much on top.

Relaxing at the Beach

That is something I wish I could be doing - but definitely not the weather for it.  Today is another miserable wet winter's day!

Enjoying The Sun

That is one thing I won't be doing today!  It has been pouring rain since before I even got up this morning - and hasn't really let up at all.  I was tempted to stay in bed - but had a few things I had to get done.

I have used three papers and a digi image from Little Scraps of Heaven for this card.  One of the papers was a plain one so I have used that one for the matting.  The image has been coloured with copic markers and a bit of shine added to his sunnies with some Glossy Accents.

Triple Treat

I have worked with a set of images that enabled me to split into three circles:

Here is the sketch and twist that I followed:

Don't talk to me......

....til I've had my coffee!

I'm not one of those people who needs a coffee first thing in the morning - but I know alot of people who could relate to this sentiment.  I'm more of a Hot Chocolate person myself!

I have used a paper from Lily Bee Designs which I edged with some Peelcraft stickers.  I am thrilled with the difference that the Peelcraft stickers made to the overall look of the card.  The image and sentiment are from Oddball Art Company.  I also added some aqua coloured glitter domes.

Wedding Congratulations

I ended up having to change the sentiment I was going to use on my card as my printer just ran out of black ink so a digital sentiment was not possible. It is well before the shops open for the day and it is pouring with rain at the moment anyway!  I found an acrylic stamp that I could use instead.
