How Old

Well here in the South East of UK Summer arrived possibly for only a day although the weathermen says its going to be a good day today but I've given up believing them. So yesterday we took off down Hayling Island to my nephew Beach Hut to celebrate his birthday and he loved his card.
The image is from Mo Manning Big Guy Bike you also get loads of extras to add to the front of the bike but I decided not to use them maybe next time.
The papers are Fancy Pants and the zigzags are from MFT, the 40 cut on my Cricut.

So I leave you with a pic of the Birthday Boy himself now you know why the Big Guy from Mo was absolutely perfect.

Bubbles and Squeak

Sunglasses at the ready cos as you can see its a bit bright not sure what I was thinking and gosh did I struggle with this card. In the end it was a case of stepping away from the card and if it wasn't the fact I didn't have time to make another I think it would have ended in the bin.
One of my major probs is I hid the pink roses under the image so I lost my contrast colour and it went downhill from there. The stamp is of course a Penny Black called Bubbles and Squeak.
The papers I think are Echo Park and I used the Spellbinders curved die for my border. The leaves and flowers are using the Phlox leaves from Memory Box and EK success punch.

Rich Raspberry

Again I was inspired by something I've seen on Pinterest and I've already made it in black for cards for Nikki's open day but I can't show them yet but I can this card.
I decided try it using Crumb cake or Kraft card and since I had a piece of Rich Raspberry card from my previous card on my desk I thought it was dark and bright enough to show up on the card. To make the white pop I've used Versamark to stamp and then embossed with white embossing powder.
I have had issues in the past using a white pen for straight lines but Nikki say go slowly and with bated breath it works so theres not stopping me now.

Card for Jen

It really is an easy Less is More Challenge, a Birthday card for Jen but I had to be inspired by a cards on Pinterest like this one.
I am disappointed with my stamping of the leaf but this wasn't the first one. I've used the Fabulous Florets which is possibly my favourite Stampin Up stamps and the sentiment is also Stampin Up. I've actually used Rich Raspberry ink and card but the parcel string is out of my stash.
Just a quickie post this morning but since these cards don't take as long as my normal cards I've schedule another CAS post for later.

Quickest Card Ever

So I saw the new sketch on Freshly Made Sketch and my first thought was to use the Spellbinders curve borders but suddenly I thought of this Memory Box die. Grabbed some blue paper which is from Stampin Up from their old Designer stack.
Stamped with the retired sentiment and a bit of glitter on the houses and trees. Card made in less than ten minutes if you don't count the drying time for the stickles. I may make a few of these.

Ballet Dancers

I've been playing with my running ants again to merge two cutest images ever, Fifi and Mikhail from Mo Manning. It well worth the headache to put them together because once done I save it and don't have to worry about doing it again.
The papers are a new First Edition with the usual favourite product, Floral Ovals, lace and ribbon. Fresh Foliage die for the back of the brought roses and I used a leaf punch which I cut up.
Since the butterfly punch was on my desk it seem silly not to use.
I've recently brought the children in their pyjamas which I think is brilliant because you can customise your family and I'm not just thinking for Father's day cards it will work for Mum and Grandparents cards too. Hopefully I get some time this week to merge some and make a card soon.

Love is

Time for a new challenge on Simon Says Stamps Challenge

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog

 and this week its
Anything Goes

The team are also using Card Candi from Craftwork Cards but thats not a requirement for the challenge just the DT chance to show what amazing products Simon Says Stamps have in their store.

I pretty sure Mr Mojo is still in Spain cos I'm still struggling to make cards although this card is growing on me. I used the fabulous Stampin Bella Uptown Couple Emily and Ryan under the Umbrella (once again I've chosen something that out of stock sorry).
The sketch is based on a Sketch Saturday one but because the card is huge it didn't quite work but the idea of stars going across which I changed to hearts was the sketch idea not mine.
The sentiment is printed off my PC and I used the Card Candi in the corner to break up the plainness.
Do pop over and check out the team they've been so clever with the use of the Card Candi than me I'm just grateful I made a card!

Now you know the drill to win the chance of this fabulous prize you have to enter the challenge with a new card no backlinking and you need to enter your post using the linky thing on the challenge blog. Also you need to link to the challenge in your post or you won't be eligible for the prize.

Thinking of you

Well you're really lucky here that I've a card to tie us over till the Simon Says Stamps Challenge at 2 pm. I think it another card I made for a challenge then promptly forget to post. All the ingredients are Stamping Up. I do like the frame which I cut out the centre and I don't own the framelits to cut it out properly so its hand cut. Also cut out a spare and drew round with thick pen this gives me a slightly larger one to mat underneath.
My Sony mini reader decided to freeze this week, I was devastated, tried everything even hunted online for help. In the end I had to buy a Kobo Glo which I'm loving but certainly wasn't in the budget for this month.

Butterflies

So I'm still in a Clean and Simple well my sort of CAS and we have a new challenge on Everybody Art Challenge something we all like Butterflies.
I thought since this little darling has been coloured for a while it was time to use her. I'm pretty sure she is a LOTV fairy and I think but not 100% sure that the papers are Doodlbug but I thinking they have a Echo Park look as well.
My butterflies are two very old punches and my bunch of tulips to match the papers are of course Memory Box.
I'm feeling a bit gutted my e-reader has frozen and nothing so far as sorted the problem out, its been a life saver since holding a book especially a tomb of book is hard for me. So I will be trying to track down a replacement that I can get yesterday.

White basket

If you looking for a previous posts I've had to delete them I've made them to showcase at Nikki's Open Day and as I'm not a Demo I'm not allow to blog them until the 2nd July sorry about that smack legs time. Probably cos I see them all the time on Pinterest that I thought it would be OK.
So I've had to find another card and this one was hiding in my drafts not even sure if I got the sketch from somewhere. But the basket is from Memory Box and then I've used Fresh Daisies and Meadow Rue from Simon Says Stamps and I'm thinking the leaves are the Lavish Branch from Memory Box too.
The sentiment is I think Simon Says Stamps Flowers for Everything.
I hope I haven't got my friend in trouble, feel guilty now.

Pop out Heart

I made this card a while ago and I am pleased how it turned out but I wish when I cut out the heart I had run a grey pen round the edge. I do this for all my layers I've cut out but some reason I didn't and  it just finishes it off properly and hides some tatty cutting.
Also I cut out the whole heart which made it tricky to layer the images but has it was first time using this stamp it was a bit of a learning process.
Of course you know the image is LOTV and I can't for the life of me work out whose sentiment that is.
My friend Nikki is popping round today she has another Open day planned and she bringing Mosaic Madness stuff from Stamping Up for me to make some samples with some new colours. I've pinned loads on Pinterest to help.

Present for You

I didn't have a Penny Black card in advance so I had to make one this week and it didn't turn out to bad.
For some reason while I was placing the mats on the card to see if I liked it before I stuck it down. I had  a voice inside my head telling me to place it on a Scallop card which I have few from Craftwork Cards and the voice was right it works perfectly with the scallop squares.
The papers are First Edition that I picked up from somewhere and of course my Hedgie is a Penny Black called A Gift for You but I can't seem to find a link to a shop.
Has its one of the first couple of cards I've since my holiday I've used things I love so that would be the Lavish Branch from Memory Box and yes I have cut it in two so it would fit where I like and my EK succes flower punches. Sentiment is a retired one from Stampin Up.

CAS Staturated Canary

This is the card I had planned to publish if I hadn't made it into the craftroom this week, very CAS for me. Now looking at it not sure I like it although I love the Saturated Canary image but there is something missing from the image. I ashamed to say I've erased the child and I much prefer it without too.
I did have issues with the glue on clean white card but the one I use does wipe off or dries so you can rub it off.
