My Favourite Cards of 2012

Debby is running the annual favourite cards fest - just post your 5 favourites, add your linky to her post and have a peek at everyone elses.

Ohh it was hard to choose - so many I absolutely loved ... but here goes ...

I love Krista (Saturated Canary) images, they are fabulous to colour.   I just love the texture on this and the autumny colours.
You can find the details on this card HERE.

I have been so lucky to join the Crafty Sentiments DT this year, and the December release was amazing 9wait until you see January's release!!).  I love the stamps, they are a joy to colour, although Jasmin's hair can be a tad challegeing!!  I love the pose of Jasmin on this image, very celebratory.

I am a big tag maker, not just the TH grungey style but pretty tags too ...

A new love this year has been felt rolled flowers - so easy to make and they add lovely texture to cards.  As does cheesecloth, another latest love.  I love the fresh, yet autumny feel to this - autumn is my favouirt season, so many lovely earthy, rich colours.
You can find the details on this card HERE.

This was the first card i made for That Craft Place's DT - Lisa is such a lovely person to design for and has an amazing shop , both online, facebook and in Eastbourne.  Black and white is something I struggle with, so I was really pleased with the result of this colouring session.
You can find the details on this card HERE.

I do like mermaids, and this Sugar Nellie one has to be one of my favourites.  I got some new storage for my dies this year, which means that i can find them more easily, and so i an using them more.  I just love how this came together.

And here she is again, in one of my favourite colourways, and one of my all time favourite paper pads, MME Stella Rose Hattie.

I really have chosen at least another 10 or more ...

Lets play ball

I needed to get a birthday card made for one of 'Beth's boyfriends'-  she is 6 years old and keeping her options open, with 3 on the go LOL!!!!!   This is for boyfriend number 1, the most serious one LOL!!!!  He is into football, but doesn't support  team, so I coloured him in the local kid's football team colours, and added a bit of grass, although really it should have been mud with all this rain!  I added the sentiment tags, attached with brad and then Beth 'kindly' added the lipstick and freckles!!!!  He has slightly more rouged lips than I would like, but apparently I hadn't done them lip colour ... she is quite the critic is our Beth!!!

Now I have always had a soft spot for Sugar Nellie stamps ... especially Rosie, she has to be my favourite stamp EVA!  And one of my bestest crafty friends has her in their house - took alot to part with this card ;)

That Craft Place Challenge

The theme for the  final challenge of 2012 for That Craft Place is Snowy Christmas.

I used my distress inks (iced spruce, faded jeans and chipped sapphire) to create the wintery background, and then spritzed it all with dewdrop glimmer mist.  When it was dry I stamped the snowflake stamp using flitterglu and rubbed mega flakes over it.  Finally I stamped the Father Christmas and sleigh and sentiment.

I will be back tomorrow with my favourite Christmas cards of 2012 ... and that will be Chrismtas completed on this blog until January!!!
