Hello everybody! Can you believe it's the last day of July? Time flies by so fast, so I've actually made a few Christmas cards already. When I was choosing which stamp I wanted to use today, I just fell in love with this whimsical, Santa on Skates. I already had in mind which patterned papers I wanted to use and visualized Santa colored pink and green. Let me show you my finished card and then I'll give you some more details.
I used my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers to color in Santa's face, suit and leggings. I covered his beard, hair and all of the fur with white glitter glue and sprinkled it with ultra fine glitter, then added gold glitter glue to his belt buckle. I cut out the image and chalked the edges with pink, then matted it with some green patterned paper and distressed the edges. The big bow is pinkish-white and I thought it was the perfect finishing touch. Here is a close-up of my card:
Here's one more:
The two sentiments can be found here and here. I also used chalk on them ~ one with pink and the other with green and attached them on angles with pop dots. I thought this went along with the whimsical look of Santa on Skates. I often mix it up too and add some really pretty thing (like this glittery bow) to a whimsical card. It's just something that I like to do.
How about you? Have you made any Christmas cards yet? I really had fun with this one. Thanks for stopping by!

Gemma Pocock's card using both Eureka and QKR digis stamps
I decided to use a digi stamp from both companies to show how easy they blend together, I used the leaf background http://www.eurekastamps.com/proddetail.php?prod=digi26901, coloured them all in using autumn colours with my pro markers. I added the Spider http://www.qkrstampede.com/proddetail.php?prod=digi12301, then searched on the internet for a little saying that would fit it well, and came across this one. I really like both images together and wanted to show you how easy it is to make one project using both sites.
I really enjoyed this card, I have even sent it into a magazine to show off the digi stamps. I have never sent a card to a magazine before so fingers crossed.
If you would like to see a few more of my projects please take a look at my blog http://gemshandmadecards.blogspot.co.uk/

Upcycled card
Hello blogger friends!
Kristie sharing today.
Today I have a card to show you that was very simple to make.
I used "Just a Note" (#6405)
from Eureka! Stamps for this card.
I was playing around with papers trying to match up some colors and patterns, which I sometimes have a tough time doing.
My friend, Marie, had just opened a package of paper that she bought and gave me the "cover sheet"
You know the one, it shows little swatches of the papers inside.
Now I didn't have to hem and haw over what would match,
the work was done for me and I was upcycling too.
I punched squares out of the different patterns with a punch,
arranged and adhered them to a piece of paper from my stash.
I then ran it through the Cuttlebug in an embossing folder.
I love how it looks with the embossed flowers on the patterned paper!
This I adhered to a white cardstock base.
I used the "Just a Note" stamp on another scrap and trimmed it down.
Blue and pink embroidery floss were wrapped around it and tied into a bow then it was adhered to the card.
What an easy note card! And I think it's quite lovely.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you've gotten some inspiration.
Leave a comment if you will and come again soon.
I'd love to have you stop by my blog
and see what else I've been working on lately.

Under the Weather?
I hope you're doing well today! I also hope you are LOVING our new Eureka blog! Is it not awesome. Now you can come here to check out all of the awesome Eureka Stamps and ways that the fabulous design team has used their stamps! Did I mention I have a new found love for digis! Well, if I didn't mention it now you know :)
I created this card using Rainy Day Duck as well as Under The Weather a perfect combination! I colored the image using copic markers and ribbon from my stash--which I assume is likely May Arts but I am not 100% sure! Thanks for stopping by!

Baby Zebra...
Good Morning, It is Katie here today with my post for Eureka Stamps.
Here is my latest creation made using an image from Eureka Stamps. As soon as I saw this image I knew it would make a fab Baby card.
The Digital Image can be found here.
Recipe & Method:
1. Colour and cut the image, I have cut it using a circle die.
2. Mat and layer Blue card stock onto a 4" x 4" White card. Add the stripe patterned paper on top.
3. Add a layered strip of patterned paper across the centre of the card.
4. Layer the cut image onto a Blue Scallop Circle.
5. Add the flowers and sentiments to embellish.
I have coloured it using Promarkers: Denim Blue and Cool Grey 3.
This is a effective but quick card to make, great for Birth Announcements or Baby Shower cards.
You can visit my blog here.
Thank you for looking at my post.

Gemma Pocock's DT post for Eureka Digi
Good
Morning everyone, hope you are all well on this fine day? Well I am
really emjoying my DT post here at Eureka stamps, this is my second card
and I am totally in love with lots of the digi stamps, I can not wait
to make more fun and exciting things for you all to look at.
I
decided to use my hougie board and hougie book which are all pretty new
to me and I have to say I don't know how I coped without them, this
card too a matter of minutes to make where as before it would have taken
hours with all the measuring.
I used the digital image of a butterfly on the flower (http://www.eurekastamps.com/proddetail.php?prod=20801&cat=19),
coloured in with pro markers. I glittered the butterfly and the tops of
the flowers to make them stand out. I found some purple paper that went
well with the purple flowers, cut to size for the diamond and a strip
at the bottom, I then added my stamped sentiment "With Sympathy" and
added some purple gems.
There
are lots more posts on my blog with the work I have done, I would love
you all to take a look and give me your comments, I hope you all have a
lovely day and thanks for looking.
