Holy Communion Card

I had two Communion cards to make this year and rather than reinvent the wheel, I chose to use the same cross idea I created earlier for a Heartfelt Creations DT assignment but I added a wonderful sentiment from a new Sweet n' Sassy stamp set.  I also used one of the other sentiments from the same set on the inside.  This time, I used a pearlized paper for the cross mat and the card mat.

Products Used:
Paper - PTI SS White, Pearlized cream
Ink - Versafine Vintage Sepia

Flower Soft - Make a Wish

This week, Flower Soft is excited to introduce the new “Wishing on a Star” product line for Card Making, Scrapbooking and crafts of all kinds!

The entire New product line includes:
  • 2 New Card Creator Pads (backing paper), day time (scenic) and lunar (night time) background scenes
  • 2 New Glitter Frosting in two color’s Hint of Green and Hint of Violet (a special combination of white frosting and iridescent glitters, which gives an ethereal effect to any project)
  • 4 New designs of Silhouette Stickers (die cut)
  • 3 New designs of Silhouette clear Stamps (pre-cut/un-mounted)

For my card, I used the new Lunar Landscapes and the Hint of Violet Glitter Frosting along the edges.  The Glitter Frosting is an amazing product that really adds a pretty dimension to your projects.  There is just a hint of glitter but the impact it creates is truly unique.  The kits are super simple to use to create dreamy, fantasy or whimsical projects.

My second card uses one of the sentiments from Lunar Landscapes along with the new Wishes and Vines Silhouette stamp set.  I added a couple of tiny clear gems around the sentiment to mimic a night sky.
I hope you'll check out some of these fabulous new products and if you make a project with them, please let me know so I can check it out.

Flower Soft Wire Works - Sweet Pea

I'm a big fan of Pinterest and below is an image I pinned awhile ago because I knew it would make a perfect Flower Soft project.  I finally got around to making the card I envisioned and it was perfect for this week's Wire Works project.

I used Sweet Pea and Sage along with the Flower Soft wires to create the sprigs that I "tucked" into the boots.  I embossed with the Swiss Dots folder and added a couple of score lines just to give the card a little more texture.

I am very pleased with how this turned out.

Be sure to check out the Flower Soft Blog this week to see what the other Design Team members created with the Flower Soft wires.  You are sure to be inspired.
