Grad Tag

As promised, here is the tag I made for friend's daughter. Both her and my daughter are in the same band together and she plays guitar and sings.

I found this image from Simply Betty Stamps and new it was perfect! I left the guitar white because her guitar is also white and I took a little liberty with the hair. The image is colored with copics and although it's hard to see, I went over the belt  and arm bands with a Wink of Stella clear glitter pen and also went up the side of the pants with the black glitter pen.

I stamped the music on the background and then added some modeling paste through a stencil and went over it with a little teal Dylusions spray when it
was dry. I sponged all the edges with some black ink to grunge it up a little. I die cut some black glitter paper with a some star dies from Sweet 'N Sassy and I had some matching glitter ribbon.

For the back, I used the same colors I used in her hair for the words and then stamped some music notes along the bottom and left plenty of space for a message. I was thrilled with how this came out.

We recently had some significant snow which gave my daughter an extended weekend. We took the opportunity to get in the studio and create some gelli prints and the base of this tag is one of the backgrounds we created.

I made my own stencil using the smallest heart die from the Timeless Amour die collection by using it to cut a piece of Dura-Lar. I mixed modeling paste with Bubblegum Pink spray ink and spread it over the stencil onto my tag.

Once dry, I stamped the rose flourish image randomly and also stamped my sentiment. I added some White Linen spray ink along the edges and a little over the top of the raised stencil. I also added it to the edges of the red cardstock. I used gel medium to attach the lace heart frame, which I had previously painted with iridescent medium, over my sentiment. I also dabbed some gel medium in random areas to allow me to attach some glass glitter and a couple pieces of chunky glass filler.

I used my copic markers to create an ombre color on some seam binding and threaded it through an eyelet at the top. For some final glitz, I went around the lace heart with a glitter line pen.
