Frame It! Timeless Tuesday Challenge

Good afternoon! I have a challenge card to share with you. Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge is to "Frame It".  The images I used are Flourishes " Cherries and Peaches", now this is one gorgeous stamp set. I colored the image of the peaches with Copic's and then using Prisma pencils to give it more texture. I then cut it out and used pop-dots to attach to the frame. My frame is by Spellbinders Marvelous squares. I sponged it with Memento and the card stock is by GKD. I'm so ready for warm days and peaches!!

Hope you are having fun today and thanks for stopping by.

For My Mom

Hi there! Just wanted to share with you, something I made for my mom. I made this out of clear craft plastic, the finished size is about 3 1/2 x 4 1/2.
I love this set and I know my mom will love this bookmark! The stamp set is by Flourishes " He is Risen", the image was colored with Copic's . Isn't this a beautiful image? I'm going to give it to her tomorrow, that way she will have it for Easter services.

A close up of the back, which can be used also for marking a page. Sorry I didn't take a photo of it in a book.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week-end!!!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #163

Hi there! I was so excited about being asked to be April's guest designer for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge!!! I have fallen in love with these beautiful designed stamps and it is such a honor to be among such talented designers.

Today's challenge is hosted by Beate and the challenge to to make a birthday card. How easy is that? Always need birthday cards, right?

For my first card I used" Flourishes "He is Risen" and the sentiment is from 'Kid's Play". I cut out a oval from Spellbinders and sponged it with SU .
I used a Memento black marker and applying it only to the part of the image I wanted to stamp, using the huffing technique I stamped right on the oval. The card base is Spellbinders lattice frame.

Using the same stamp set I used the single Lily image, colored with Copic's and cut them out. The card base is Grand Nestabilities and scored in half. Using a smaller die I cut out a piece of DP. The background foliage is from Flourishes stamp set "Spring Ephemerals" and the sentiment is again from "Kids Play".

For more inspiration check out the rest of the teams gorgeous creations.

Spring is Here

Hi! Is spring really here? I'm ready!! I finally got to play with my stamps today and made some corner bookmarks for some challenges.
I used this really adorable stamp set from Flourishes that I just got and couldn't wait to try. I colored the bunny with Prisma Pencils and cut the image out. To keep with Joan's challenge I used a envelope and Spellbinders border for the edge right through both sides. The DP is "My Mind Eye" The Stamp is by Flourishes " Spring Has Sprung".

Here is a view of the the back. (Can you tell this is a old book?)

I had so much fun and wanted to try a different border, so here is another bookmark using the same stamp set. I used the largest die of Spellbinders Lattice rectangles.

This is for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge to make a Easter card or project. I think this would be a nice Easter gift with a book. Also I'm entering this in Joan's Gardens challenge.
#10
  • Create a corner bookmark using the corner cut off an envelope. You can use an envelope from "junk" mail.
  • You need to cover the front and back
  • Be creative and let us see what you can come up with.
  • Tutorial will be Selma's blog for cutting measurements
Well this was really easy to make but now I need to clean up the mess I made. (looks like I made 10 cards)
Hope your day is going well and thanks for stopping by.

FLOURISHES NOONTIME CHALLENGE

Hi there! I'm back with another challenge card, this time for Flourishes Noon Time Challenge as they ready for March release. This one was oh so easy "make a circle card. I decided to make a masculine card as I don't make them often and I dearly love this gorgeous stamp. I decided to leave it CAS. Not sure if this is a Rainbow trout but I colored it like it was.
Okay, the stamp set is "WHAT A CATCH" from Flourishes. This is much prettier in RL as I added just a little Sakura in clear star but it doesn't show up in the photo.

I sponged in the background with Memento's and colored with Copic's.
Hope you like it and if you get a chane to play the challenges over at Flourishes you could win this month release.

Timeless Tuesday at Flourishes #158

Hello! I made this card for Timeless Tuesday Challenge over at Flourishes. Tammy is hostessing this week's challenge and the theme is Country Comfort! Create anything inspired by country living…. a farm-theme, gardening, country patterns (calico, gingham, plaid), quilts, wildflowers… whatever you interpret as country comfort! I had so many ideas and started to make a quilt card. But my order came today and I just had to play with some of it. One of the set I received is "Spring has Sprung" I grew up in the country and one the things I loved was listening and hearing nothing but the sound of birds chirping. So when I think of country I think of how quiet it was and how lovely it was just to listen. The branches and the bird is from"Home Tweet Home", the sentiment is from "Pears" and the tiny flowers are "Tiny Flowers and Tags" all are from Flourishes.

The images were colored with Copic's and sky back ground was sponged using Memento.
Hope your day is going well and thanks for stopping by.

Timeless Tuesday at Flourishes #157

Good morning!! Today is a beautiful spring looking day!! It is suppose to be in the seventies in the valley today!! WOW!! For this weeks challenge Mona has ask us to make a bookmark using a image from Flourishes. My Lilac tree has buds on it. So I thought of this set from Flourishes would the perfect one for my book mark. The set is "Lilac Set". I used the smaller Lilac image and stamped it twice on Ivory card stock from GKD. I colored the flowers with Copic's and sponged with Grape Jelly Memento. The DP is Basic Grey.
You can find the tutorial for making this bookmark here.

Here is a photo of it on a book page. Mother's Day is coming fast and I think my mom will love this, she loves to read and loves flowers. I can see I didn't have it on the page, oh well you get the idea!! I really enjoyed making this, it was easy I may do more this week.

Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by.

Some news and a Challenge

Hi, sorry I haven't posted much lately. Last week I was scrubbing a spot on the carpet and my ring finger got caught back and I torn the tendon . It made a loud popping noise and I thought I had broke it. The doctor said not broken but a torn tendon. Now I have to wear this gorgeous (not) metal brace until I can get it repaired. At first I thought I wouldn't be able to color at all but I was able to, just a little awkward .
Now on to much better news, you may have heard that my daughter Theresa Momber made it on this years DT on Spellbinders!! I was so excited for her. Congratulations again Theresa!!! You rock!!!

Here is the card I made. This is for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #156. Beate has ask that we make a card and use some red on it. I used Flourishes stamp set "Sweet Violets" and colored with Copic's. Die is by Spellbinders and the punch is M.S. DP is by Basic Grey and card stock is GKD.

Hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
