Hoop It Up

It looks like we are in for a beautiful day today!  The sun is shining and it's not to get too hot...perfect.  It's looking good for our long weekend for Canada Day too!

Well,  I'm sure all those driveway hoops will be seeing a lot of action over the summer vacation.  All those basketball enthusiasts getting ready for the big time!

Once again, I've coloured with Prisma pencils and OMS, sponging the background with Scattered Straw DI.  No embellishments, as it is meant for a boy.....just a bit of faux stitching to finish it off.

Supplies used:

Paper:  Cosmo Cricket (Wanted pack)
Tools:  Nestibilities die - Labels 16

Baby Congratulations

Hello there again...it's been a while since my last post, but life's been a bit crazy.  I never had a cold all winter, and now I have a sinus infection.....go figure.  No cold symptoms, just a major headache which will likely stick around for a while.
I started this card a few days ago, when like was simpler....and I've made a 'spring' card.  This was my first attempt, and I followed the tutorial by Sandy Hulsart that you can find here.

The DP is a multicoloured stripe from my stash, and you will see a little bit of punched lace and some faux stitching detail.  This is a sweet new image from Just Inklined, called Baby Line,  and I've added just a few stamped flowers to the bottom for a little extra detail.

Here's hoping life is treating you kindly!  Thanks for visiting.

Garden Angel

Can you believe that it's Wednesday already?  The days are just flying by....you notice that this only happens in the good weather....never in those cold dreary winter months of January thru March.  I do so love to sit outside with my morning coffee, so I'd best be quick with this post!

No digi image for me today, I've had this image stamped up for ages, but it just needed finishing.  It's coloured with copics, and then Prismas for shading, with lots of stickles for some added sparkle.

How about the nice big bow?  I made it by following Jak Heath's tutorial, and I'm really pleased with the result.  Thank you Jak!

If you look close at the flowers, you'll see a couple of heart stick pins.  I've had them a while, but this is the first time I've used them.  It's amazing what you can find when you tidy up your craft area!  lol

Just Resting His Eyes

Well, its the weekend, and it looks good from here....hope it is for you too!  Time for a little rest and relaxation?  How about a card for Father's Day?  I have to be quick, as someone keeps poking around....last night when I was making the card and today when I'm doing the post!

This is another super image from Just Inklined called Man at Work, and it's so very fitting for Father's Day.  My hubbie is not a fisherman, but he loves to canoe, and I often find him "resting his eyes" when watching TV.  That's his quote, not mine.  lol

Coloured with Prismas and OMS, then cut out with my Nestie die, I've then inked the edges with blue and grey.  The frame is cut on my Silhouette, while the DP is something from my stash with blue sky and white clouds...perfect!  Just a bit of border and some stickles and I'm done!

A couple of fun challenges that I will be entering:
Creative Inspirations Wednesday Challenge - #116 Blue, Green & 1 Other Colour!
Totally Papercrafts - #71 Die Cuts and Punches
