I've been making cards for a few years now so I have lots of images, but it's always exciting to find a new artist. Even better when they get you started with a few freebies! Thank you Sheri.
So, what do you think of this image by Sheri Baldy....isn't she adorable? Having 3 daughters and 2 granddaughters, it takes me back to when I could shop for little frilly dresses....and they would even wear them! This year we'll be looking for a grade 8 grad dress...they grow up so fast.
Once again I've coloured with copics, and then I've gone super feminine with the card design. The dies used are Spellbinders Lacy Ovals and Decorative Labels Eight. All edges have been sponged with DI, and you'll see some little tiny dots made with a glitter pen. That's it, except for the bow.
Thanks so much for visiting, and I hope you liked my card.
Now, for some challenges...be sure to check them out too!

So cool, calm and collected...
Oh my, winter really hit with a bang around here yesterday....literally! We had some nasty blowing snow, making for poor driving conditions, resulting in an 70 vehicle pile up on a major highway nearby. This in turn, created major havoc on alternate routes....one of which was my road! It was jam packed with stop and go traffic for hours and hours...and they were the lucky ones! Drive safely everyone, and be sure to look out for that other guy!
So now, how about a bit of fantasy with this image..Caterpillar..from Just Inklined. It's part of their Wonderland Collection, and doesn't he look so laid back and comfortable with nary a care in the world!
I've again coloured with copics, then cut and matted the image with the Spellbinders Labels Sixteen die. The purchased card blank was pre-embossed, and I've sponged it over lightly with distress ink. Some paper candi and a new timepiece brad for embellishment....keeping it simple for another masculine card. The sentiment is a stamp from Stampotique, perfect for the occasion.

Hearts and Flowers
Oh, it is sooooo cold outside, I just want to stay inside until spring! They say we've been spoiled, with a couple of mild winters.....well, I think old man winter is making up for that! For those of you in the same predicament, how about joining us in this week's challenge at Charisma Cardz. Our theme is Hearts and Flowers....sure to give a warm fuzzy feeling, especially as Valentines Day will soon be here.
This adorable image was provided by Stamp Fairy, one of this week's generous sponsors. I chose a pink and blue colour combo, thinking nice and bright....sunny and warm!
Once again I've coloured with copics, while the papers are from an older Basic Grey collection....Euphoria. As my card is 5 x 6 1/2, I wanted the DP to be slightly larger than 6 inches, so I used my Spellbinders Edgebilities die to create a cut/pattern, I really like the effect, and it shows so well against the burgundy cardstock. As you can see, I went all out dressing it up.....flowers, ribbon, gems and pearls.
No sentiment yet until I decide who or what it is for. Although it could be for Valentines, it would also work well for wedding or anniversary.
So, we are really hoping you can join in with this weeks challenge, for your chance to win one of these prizes from our lovely sponsors.

Timeless...
Well, it's the weekend again, and it looks like we are in for another cold spell...yuk! No snow at the moment, but there appears to be flurries in the forecast for the next week. I sure hope that ice-melt scares it off!
Today's DT card for Just Inklined uses the beautiful Charlotte image, reminiscent of days gone by. A 'fair weather hat' to be sure....not for winter or rainy days, but definitely charming!
Colouring is done with copics and pencil, and the papers are from K&C Company's Julianne collection. The floral patterned background paper has been cut into one inch strips before attaching to brown cardstock, for a rather unusual effect. Otherwise a very simple design, with only a corner punch and some liquid pearls as added extras.
Thanks for popping by, and I hope you can stay warm and toasty!

It's my job....
As one of five siblings, I've always had someone to remind me of my age at birthday time, especially as I happen to be the oldest. Now, my son-in-law was an only child and I'm sure he's finding it harder and harder to remember his exact age without all those friendly reminders.....so I'm taking it upon myself to remedy this! I'm such a good mother-in-law......
Here we go with another image from Bugaboo....something for the young at heart, but with lots of space for that "41". Once again I've coloured with copics, using the 'out of the box' technique to cut it out with a circle shape. The papers are from MME, but I added all of those numbers with the help of a stencil. You will see some faux stiching and a bit of doodling, but otherwise only a chip board arrow to give direction. Hope you had a Happy Birthday Rob!
Thanks for visiting, and hopefully I brought a smile!
