Good morning everyone, and welcome to another weekend. We are in the middle of a hot spell right now, with plenty of humidity. Not complaining though, but very thankful for air conditioning! Just think, in six months time we'll be in the middle of winter......cold, cold, cold....ugh!
Today's card is perfect for the season, and we would all like to look like this as we enjoy a summer picnic! I've coloured the Crisalis Classics stamp...A Perfect Day, using water colours for a nice soft look. I've than edged with distress ink to match the paper in behind.
The sentiment is from a set by Whimsy Stamps and you will see a few stars and scattered gem stones to set the mood, along with a long strip of gemstones to add some sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by today, and have a lovely weekend.

Another fun image from Dr Digi's House of Stamps, and this time it's Tin Man. Such a great disguise...no one will every recognize him. After all, who knows what mischief others will think of to celebrate such a milestone birthday.
Copics again, and Tea Dye distress ink for all of the edges. A number of die cuts, some brads and then a hand printed comment. Nice and easy.
Take care and enjoy your weekend. Thanks for visiting.

Gift wrapping....
We are having a really hot and humid spell, so I thought I could cool it down a bit with a Christmas creation. Such a shame we can't save some of those really cold temperatures to moderate the summer heat. But then, what would I complain about? lol
Here I've decorated a bag, all ready for Christmas giving, using an image from Make it Crafty. Copics are the colouring medium, with some DI for the edges. A Spellbinder's die to cut it out, and then some papers and washi tape for the background. The papers and tags are all from the Dovecraft - Tis the Season collection.
Thanks for popping by, and I do hope you are having a splendid summer.
Now, for some challenges for my project:

Beautiful dreamer....
Hello everyone! It's about time I did another posting, and it is far too hot and muggy to be outside. Thank goodness for air conditioning. I've added another page to my travel journal today, and if I see something like this on my travels I'll be sure to let you know.
Remember now, too much sun or alcohol can make you do strange things! ha ha. This delightful image is from Make it Crafty, and once again, I've coloured with copics.
I've gone with the 'out of the box technique' to cut him out, and some stenciling for the background. Just a bit of washi tape and a few sticky dots to dress it up.
Hopefully by this time next year I will be up and about and ready to travel again....and make use of this journal.
Enjoy the summer while you can, after all...we know winter will be here soon enough.

Sugar Plum Fairy
Well, it looks like summer, feels like summer....yes, I guess it really is summer now! It seemed to take it's time getting here, but it finally made it. Here's hoping you get to enjoy some nice sunshine!
Today, I've coloured up a Rick St Denis image, which I'm entering in their progressive monthly challenge. The image is titled Sugar Plum Fairy, which I have coloured with copics and cropped.. This was done accidently/on purpose, when I got distracted by the phone. Lesson learned....always double check that the cutting die hasn't moved if you step away for a bit.
The smaller image gave me lots of room for embellishment, using some fancy dies, ribbon and flowers too.
Dies used:
Spellbinders - Decorative Labels Eight
Cheery Lynn - City Girl Edger
Thanks for stopping by....the weekend is nearly here. Have fun!
