Hmmm, won't be long now! The little ones are getting excited, with big smiles similar to this little guy, while the adults are probably still rushing around trying to get things done. Of course some people are super organized and have been ready for ages....that is so annoying! ha ha
This is a KennyK image coloured with markers and mounted on some festive DP from Wild Rose Studio. Bright festive colours and a perky little elf....seemed like the perfect card for a friend of mine. Someone with a great sense of humor who always makes me smile.
Merry Christmas everyone, and wishing you all the best for the New Year. Many thanks for stopping by and having a peek at some of my posts, and thanks too for the lovely comments.
And now for some fun challenges for my card:
It won't be long now, until the big guy is sliding down the chimney. He's thumbs up and ready to go! This is one of the new Christmas digis from Dr Digi's House of Stamps....titled Simply Santa. Fun to colour and sure to be a hit with the little ones. The sentiment is also one of Dr Digi's creations and can be found here. Now, if I could just speed things up a bit so that I could be ready for the big day too!
Other supplies used:
Copics and liquid applique for image
Memory Box die - Frosty Border
Spellbinder die - Labels Twenty Two
Papers from my stash and scraps
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
Some challenges for my card:
Good morning everyone. Today's another grey one, with lots of clouds and no sun, but at least it's mild with no snow....yet. So maybe today's card will provide a little brightening!
Here, I have heat embossed with gold embossing powder. Doesn't it show nice against the red card stock? So there is just stamping on this one, and a bit of gold pen for the edging.
Stamps used:
Hero Arts - Collage Merry Christmas
Inkadinkado - Foliage Trails
Hero Arts - Holiday Sayings
Hope all is well with you, as you scurry around readying for the holidays.
Some challenges for my card:
Another card that was fairly quick to do, at least once I got my head around it. lol
This time it's a stamp from Stampers Anonymous ...Joyful, and I have heat embossed with the WOW Sparkling Embossing Powder. I've cut and matted with the Spellbinders Labels Twenty Two die set, giving the edges a bit of gold pen.
Some additional stamping is added to the DP along with a few gemstones, before adding the bow. A classy look that is relatively quick to finish. I should do more of these!
Hope your Christmas preparations are coming along and you are better organized than me. lol.
Some challenges for my card:
It's hard to believe that Christmas is only 2 weeks away. The sun is shining, the grass still has some green, and we're not really into winter clothing yet....I'm loving it!
Of course it means it's time for those Christmas cards, and I found I wasn't ready....so I've been busy with some simpler designs, which are somewhat quicker. I think I am the slowest when it comes to actually finishing cards!
This is a Stampendous stamp, purchased ages ago, and never used. It was just like Christmas when I found it. lol I heat embossed then partially coloured the leaves, adding red stickles for the berries.
I've cut and matted using two dies from the Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight set. For the final touch, I've added the corner stamp from Stämpelkällan.
I'm off to physio shortly, and a nice walk in town while the weather is so wonderful.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
Some challenges for my card:
Something a little different today...without a stamped or digi image. Just papers and dies, and of course some sparkle. The DP is from my stash, with some fancy cut-work.
By using both parts of the die cut DP and spacing them apart.....it left me room to stamp a greeting. I outlined the cut edges in gold, adding some Icicle Stickles to the open work above, which gives the idea of a frosty window.
The bottom corner is adorned with a nice glittery deer and a bit of gold stamping. Quite pleased with the result, and quite easy to do.
The dies used:
Marianne's die - Anja Edge
Dee's Distinctively die - Deear 1
Hope everyone is keeping well and not too busy....
Some challenges for my card:
With Christmas just around the corner, Santa decided he needed his picture taken, and his friend Frosty was glad to oblige. Another fun new image from Dr Digi's House of Stamps....this one is titled Selfie Santa. How cute is that, and so in keeping with the times!
Another simple design, making use of some of my scraps. The sentiment uses a die from Elizabeth Craft Design and some gold sparkly paper.
Although many people will be hoping for a white Christmas, I must admit that it's not on my wish list. We've been having milder temperatures, and I'm hoping that lasts until spring! Guess I'm one of those 'bah humbug' people.....
Take care and thanks for popping by.

Just a few snowflakes
Well, the big day is almost here and still no snow....yay! Although others won't be so happy, it's like Mother Nature is smiling on me....giving me more time to recover from my surgery. I can still get out and about without fear of slipping and sliding. Although we have had snow-less Christmases before, I think this is the first that I recall where the grass is still mostly green, rather than brown.
So, I am more than happy to make a Christmas card with a bit of snow in it, and some colourful snowmen in the DP. The image is a rubber stamp from LOTV, coloured with water colours, with some flocking for the white trim on the hat, and liquid applique for the falling snow.
Some of the supplies used:
Crate Paper - Snow Day collection
Spellbinders die - Labels Twenty Two
Elizabeth Craft Designs die - Merry Christmas
Martha Stuart punches - Alpine Snowflake & Pine Branch
Gold peel-off border
Hoping all is well with you and yours, and your holiday preparations are nearly complete! Thanks for stopping by.

Special delivery....
Well, we know the little ones like the snow, but the older ones (like me!)....not so much. Looking at the forecast, I don't think I have to worry about a white Christmas, in fact the grass is still rather green and some are wondering if it might need another cut. Wouldn't that be something!
One of my grandson's delivers papers, so one guess where this card is going....
This is another fun image from Kenny K, don't you love the smile? After colouring with markers, I've cut him out then attached him to the snowflake dp with foam tabs. The sentiment and additional stamping all uses stamps from the Inkadinkado - Foliage Trails stamp set. With just a bit of paper candi and paper contrast, it makes for a nice bright card...all ready to go.
