Hello there...hope everyone is doing well. Can't complain here...I'm finally managing without my cane. I was starting to wonder if that day would ever come. The weather is gorgeous here, with lots of sun and no humidity. Of course the down side is that there's been no rain and the grass is turning brown. I have a large property and depend for water on a well, so watering the lawn is not an option. England needs to send some of their rain over here.
Today's card is a special request....a wedding card for a non-traditional wedding. After browsing the web for just the right image, we settled on this one...perfect for the occasion.
I stayed with a rather neutral colour scheme, using the dies and papers to create a rather whimsical scene....almost like looking through a window. Hope they like it.
Supplies used:
From the Heart Stamps - Laughing Giraffes image
Papers from Hallmark Cards - Wellington collection
Joy Crafts - Lacy Square Frame die
Whimsy Stamps - Vines die
CC Designs - Say It Tag 1 die
Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your weekend....it's nearly here.

Lady in red....
Ho ho ho....it's the weekend again, and no it's not Christmas! (thankfully!) It looks like we're in for some lovely weather...just hoping it doesn't get too humid. But just in case we start complaining when it gets too hot, here's a reminder of winter.
Winter coats, winter boots.....like mice and bugs, look so much better on cards than in real life. Although not a Christmas image, I feel that Gladys Winterbottom, from Dr Digi's House of Stamps fits the bill perfectly when she's all decked out in her winter woolies.
I've coloured with markers and used the 'out of the box' technique to cut out the image, with some red cardstock and older DP from Memory Box. Only the sentiment is from an actual Christmas line, but all the red and then the winter theme does the trick. The fancy die cut uses the Joy Craft Lacy Square Frame, and I've smudged a bit of glitter over it for some sparkle.
Here's hoping you all have a lovely weekend. I think summer is finally here to stay.

Little Flower Fairy
Here's hoping you are all having a lovely weekend and perhaps enjoying some sunshine! I'm hoping my cold will soon be gone, so things can get back to normal, whatever that is..., though I have found some time for crafting. Perhaps I just need to go sit in the garden, and look for the fairies....
Today's card uses a delightful image from All Dressed Up...Little Flower Fairy. Such fun to colour using an assortment of markers and pencils.
You will see I have used a liberal amount of distress ink here, edging the image and the strips of DP, as well as colouring the sentiment die and the butterflies. I am quite pleased with the nice soft feminine look, and I've listed my supplies below.

Garden beauty.....
Good morning everyone. We've had lots of sunshine and finally some rain too. The grass was turning brown...it seemed like late July rather than early June. My gardens are in, and might even thrive with the change in weather, but somehow I've managed to get a sore throat and head cold. I might have to slow down a bit and do some crafting....maybe sip some wine for medicinal purposes....lol.
And now a card using a pretty image from A Day for Daisies....Flowers in my Garden. Isn't she a sweetie? Having three daughters and 2 granddaughters, this brings back fond memories of when they were little.
Coloured with markers and a bit of pencil, I've given the image centre stage, while keeping the card background somewhat muted. The floral DP from Paper Mania is edged with DI, and the same DI is used to colour the Memory Box die cuts. This is the Madera Corner die, with the corners hidden under the image. The Spellbinders Postage Stamp die is used to mat the image, with a bit of sparkle pen for added interest.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hear all about it...
Well, the heat wave is still with us, and not much rain in sight. I won't complain though, as some parts of the world are having horrendous floods right now. It does make you wonder what this summer has in store.
So, now for a card to bring a smile to your face, with an image from Dr Digi's House of Stamps....Mr Speaker (birthday). I do so like to do my part, in reminding friends and family that they are not getting any younger. It's only fair...as many are younger than me!
I've coloured the image with markers and a bit of pencil, cutting it out with a Spellbinders die and the 'out of the box technique'. You will see quite a bit of doodling and edging, using a fine black marker.
The DP has been cut using the Spellbinders Classic Petal die, and the letters for 'Old Guy' make use of a small alphabet die.
As this is my DT project for Dr Digi, I would also like to let you know that there is a special promotion going on Facebook. Be sure to check it out for your chance to win!

TTPH Use a die or punch
Good morning! It's time for a new challenge at Through The Purple Haze, and this fortnight our theme is to USE A DIE/PUNCH. A nice easy challenge, and hopefully you can find the time to play.
I think summer's here....spring popped in for a few days, and then right into summer. Makes it difficult to get the gardens in, but I'm nearly done. I'm more than ready for a sit down and a good book.
My card today uses an image provided by our sponsor... Book Lover Reading Girl. I think it would make a great card for a teacher or a student...one who loves to read over the summer break.
