Cricut Roses & Lace and Foiled Poinsettia Christmas Card

 Welcome to another card. Cricut Australia + New Zealand sent me a Cricut Explore 3 and some wonderful products, so I made two cards with it. One is a rose and lace card with a drawn glitter background with 3D roses and the other is a Poinsettia Christmas card with a foiled background and a 3D poinsettia

Easy Leafy stamped Card (could be masculine card)

 This card is a very simple idea, and is something I saw on the inspiration card in the Leaf stamp set from Altenew.  I have done a few variations in green coloured inks and then made up two cards using two of these.

 

Some I kept just to the mini cube sets that I used, such as the Altenew Garden? And the Pink fresh Studio Garden stroll set.  Others I mixed it up a bit, and added some brighter greens from the Garden? Set and a grey from the Altenew Stone Collection set. I just stamped some of the leaves from the set randomly down the left hand side of the front panels with a lighter ink, then another layer with a darker ink, and in some cases I used a third darker ink still.  Some I just did 2 layers.  I was pretty random to where I put the leaves, so that I looked like layers as if you were looking through branches of a tree. 

 

Once I was happy with a couple of the front panels, I stamped a simple birthday sentiment and cut them out and mounted it onto the front panel with some foam tape.  Lastly I decorated around the sentiment with some gems from my stash. 

 

This is a quick and easy card to produce, and a bonus as it is a good one to give the guys!

Ink smooshed and glitter paste background kind reminder card

 I started with a piece of Tim Holtz watercolour paper, and smooshed some ink pads onto my glass media mat, sprayed some water and then put my watercolour card onto this and smooshed it around, drying it with my heat tool in between and doing repeated smooshing until I was happy with it.  I then left it to dry. 

Once dry I stuck it down on a board with some painters tape, to make sure it stayed flat, and using a stencil, I spread some nuvo glimmer paste – moonstone, over the stencil and then peeled it off, this left a pretty pattern that will be just glitter and can see the ink colours behind.  I then left that to be totally dry.

 

I trimmed this down and stuck it onto my card base.  I then stamped the two large flower images from the Kind reminders stamp set, with versafine black ink, and then using the stencil that co-ordinates with the stamp, and two ink colours for both the flowers and leaves, I coloured the images in.  This was quick and great if you don’t want to spend time painting or colouring in the images with other mediums. 

I fussy cut the two images out, and also the sentiment I chose and had stamped, put some foam tape onto the backs and stuck them onto the card.  I was just going to use one image and the sentiment, but decided to use both.  Finally I stuck some gems randomly around the images and sentiment, and that was the card finished.
