Work in progress....

Thought i would share with you my latest work in progress...I bought this set of drawers from a charity shop te other day for £2.50 and then yesterday i went to Craft Central with my friend Elke and amongst other things we bought some decopatch papers. Now those of you that know me will know my craft room is black and white so the papers i bought are black and white!!!! These are the piccies of the drawers before i attacked them with paper and glue

and here they are after i have been playing this afternoon but you will have to wait til later in the week to see the finished article.

Right off for my shower as we are going to my daughters for dinner this evening Enjoy the last remaining bit of your weekend Sylvia xx

Very special card for SIL

Hi bloggers Thought i would share a very special card with you...especially for my SIL - she is going in hospital on Thursday for a major operation as part of her cancer treatment. This will be the biggest one of many and she will be in ICU for a while once the op is over. She lives in Newquay Cornwall and for those that know the area will know that there is a beach with lots of lovely brightly coloured beach huts on. Our children played on these beaches and now their children do the same. I loved this sentiment and felt it was just what i needed to say....

The stamp is a brand new one from Michael Powell and i bought it today on a shopping trip out with my best friend Elke. I coloured it with promarkers and then just added a simple bow and flower. Off to play some more now as i have the downstairs to myself as everyone else is having an early night...lol Sylvia xx Challenges..Paper Pretties

CRAFT Challenge DT card

Good morning and its that time of the week again... CRAFT Challenges time

Our theme this week is Animals so anything at all with an animal on it is fine by us...it may be cute...scary....big....little...furry...feathered (like mine) whatever we don't mind.

I got to use this super duper image from Hope Jacare - swirly owl branch which i just fell in love with. I used papers and chipboard shapes from the Sugar & Spice Range from dovecraft and obviously coloured with my promarkers to finish off..



We shall look forward to all your lovely projects and to popping over to nosey at your blogs..

Changes are afoot at Nutcrafters!!!

Good evening followers - bet you wondered where i was!!! Oops sorry about the late post for my DT card for the Nutcrafters challenge it must be all the excitement of the new changes we have... We are opening the rule book this week however and mixing things up a little. If you would like to enter our challenge but don't have any Nutcrafters images to use, this week we will accept your entry and you will be entered in to win our second prize of your choice of Nutcrafters digi stamp or digi stamp set. All cards or projects with a Nutcrafters image will automatically receive an additional entry into our main prize draw, so that's twice the chance to win! No excuses now for not entering the great challenge and a chance to win either the digi or the voucher. Anything goes...yes absolutely anything and i have used some funky card blanks i got from Kanban at the weekend and my backing papers are from a lovely little pad "Webster's pages" which were free in simply cards and papercraft and they are so yummy!!! My digi is a new one from nutcrafters and there's more but you will have to wait and see what they are...may just give you a sneek peak at the weekend!!!! Wedding/Anniversary CRAFT Challenges..

For my card i have used a Meljen Designs digi and what a cute couple they are too...I shall be giving this to one of my daughter's best friends when she gets married later in the year...the papers are from a brand new pack of papers from Flair designs petite range and they are such yummy papers.

Circles !!!!!

Round and round in circles...Poodles Parlour Challenges would love to see your projects with circles as the main theme...

I found this great circles paper amongst the paper pack from dovecraft called Sugar & Spice so with a couple of embellishments from the same range and some ribbon...voila !!! there is my ever so quick and easy card.
