Friday Confessional

I confess...I've been lazy about posting about my visit from my sister and her hubby last weekend, but I do have an excuse! I'm waiting for hubby's daughter to email me the pics she took when she was there!

I confess...I leave in five days to go see my (other) sister in Tennessee for two weeks and I'm super excited. Though I'm not so excited to find out that she'll be leaving me (with my Aunt and cousins) at the lake the weekend of the 4th so she can go spend a couple of days with her bf. Boooo.

I confess...I haven't even started packing for my trip and it's got me in a panic lol.

I confess...I picked up this cute lil swimsuit for my trip. I love it though the top makes me feel like my boobs are going to fall out at any given moment. FYI...my boobs are NOT huge. Though, I LOVE the way the bottoms fit!

I confess...I'm gonna miss hubby while I'm gone. I wish he could come with me.

I confess...we're going to help his daughter move tomorrow. It's gonna be effin' hot too.

I confess...I called my dr yesterday to get my Rx's written so I can pick them up before I leave. I'll be in full on panic mode until they call me and tell me I can pick them up. They usually wait until the last minute to call me.

I confess...just hearing about this story makes me ill. What in the hell is wrong with young girls these days? And who in the hell raised a child who could do something like this???

I confess...I've been thinking about doing a giveaway for a blog layout. I'll probably wait until I get home from my trip though. So, be on the lookout in the near future for that!

Took Me Long Enough!

Holy hell y'all! I've been "working" on this layout (off & on) for at least a month now. I wanted something bright and summery and was having a hell of a hard time finding just that. I ended up deciding on this color combo. It's bright, that's for sure. Not too sure how summery it is though lol.

I didn't think I'd ever finish this one. Dang! But I'm gonna live with it for a couple of weeks lol. I'm too tired of looking at code to ever think of redoing it anytime soon!

But, enough about the new design, lets get onto the fun!

Lol I require lots but I have insomnia so it doesn't really matter what I require lol!

The Black Crows Shake Your Moneymaker CD. It just takes me back to when I was younger and "didn't have a care in the world." Boy, those were the days lol.  

5. What is your biggest guilty pleasure?

These days, it's got to be my Java Chip frappuccino from Starbucks. Thanks to these I've gained back the 10 pounds that I lost. Damn it!

 

We Want To Know Wednesday...

I'm so late on posting this today. I don't know what's gotten into me, I just really haven't been in the mood to be on the computer much lately! Anyslacker, here's the questions and my answers!

{1} You have been asked to give a 10 minute speech to teenage girls. What is it about?

I'd probably talk to them about how important it is for them to get a good education and about not throwing their lives away for some guy. I'd also talk to them about self worth, about learning how to love themselves. Yeah...you might want to give me a little more than 10 minutes there lol!

{2} Do you have a pet? Tell us about them. No pets? Why?

We have two pugs. They're bad. Everyone thinks I'm exaggerating when I say that. I'm not. I feel like I'm home all day with twins who are going through their terrible twos. All day, every day. But, I'd be lost without them. Sad huh?

{3} What is the biggest inconvenience about the place you’re currently living?

Let's see, if we're talking about the state and/or town....it's too damn far away from my family. If we're talking about the house...it's too damn small and our yard isn't fenced in. I mean, at least if I had a fenced in yard to put the dogs outside to work off some of that energy they wouldn't drive me so damn nuts right? Right. 

{4} What do you think is the single best decision you have made in your life so far?

Deciding to have my Son, on my own. When his real Dad decided that he wasn't ready to be a parent, I wasn't sure that I could do it on my own. I'm so thankful that I did. I rocked that shit yo! It's his Dad's loss. I have one hell of a son. 

{5} What are the THREE "nevers" of your life? (things you would never do or have never done)

I'll never like snakes. It's not going to happen. EVER.
I've never vacationed in the mountains. It's on the bucket list. I will. Someday.
I'll never understand how a parent can walk away from their child/children. It baffles my mind. Selfish mofo's! 

Woah...An Update. It's Been Awhile!

It seems like forever since I've done an actual "what's going on with me" entry so I thought it was time to update. Lots of exciting things coming up that I can't wait to tell y'all about!

I've been spending less time in front of my laptop and more time laying out in the sun. It's been good for me too. There's just something so relaxing about sitting outside with a good book and my Ipod. Lovin' it!

I don't think I mentioned this here yet but a couple of weeks ago I found my best friend from when I was 10 years old on FB. I've been trying to find her (on line) for years and never was able to find anything about her. She still lives in TN and at the end of the month when I go to visit my sister in TN her (childhood bff) and I are going to get together. I can't wait to see her. We've talked on the phone and it's like we'd never been apart lol. She remembers so much more than I do from back then, we talked for over an hour and all we did was laugh. I can't wait to see her.

My Sister Diann and her hubby Tomy have been traveling on their yacht since before Christmas (most of their time has been spent in the Florida Keys), they're in Charleston right now and this morning they'll be leaving there making their way here to see us. I'm so excited. I haven't seen her since last September and I miss her like crazy!!

I'm getting really excited for my trip to TN at the end of the month to see my oldest sister Denise too. Even though I just saw her in January I miss her like crazy. We're really close so it's hard being away from her. I'll also get to see my cousin Ray who I haven't seen in about 20 years. Can't wait.

I've been trying (off and on) for the last few weeks to redesign my layout and I haven't been able to come up with anything I like. This has never happened to me before and it's got me a bit off kilter lol. I'm sure I'll find something I like sooner or later. I just haven't been able to find a background that I like. I've tried making one (several actually) didn't like it (them). I've tried premade one's...didn't like those either. It's frustrating lol.

Hubby is finally back to work. He was off for three weeks because the school didn't have enough students to fill his class. It was nice having him home, it's also nice having him back at work lol. I think we were starting to get on each others nerves those last couple of days. It happens lol.

I confess...I've been spending less time online and more time in the sun. I've got to get a good tan before I go on my trip to Tennessee in 18 days (YAY!!) to see my big sister. We're going to be spending the 4th of July at my Aunt's lake house and if I've got to be in a bikini I've got to get a tan lol. I have some tanning sessions left but there's just something about laying out in the sun with my Ipod on and a good book!

I confess...I've discovered Pinterest and I'm TOTALLY addicted! I mean how can you not love a site where you find stuff like this....

I confess...since we didn't make it to the redneck car races last weekend we're going tonight with some good friends of ours. I'll be sure to take lots of pics to share with y'all. Oh come on, you know you want to share in the redneckedness (yeah, I made it up!) with me!

I confess...my dogs are driving me nuts still. We took them to the groomers. They got the star treatment, pampering all day long. The minute we got them home...they were scratching again. Grrr.... But, they did look cute!

{1}Everyone seems to have a quirky family situation-- what is something unique about your family dynamic?

Well, if you've read my blog much then you know that my family put the funk in dysfunction lol. We argue, we fuss, we fight but only with each other. We're fiercely protective of each other. If you mess with one of us basically you mess with ALL of us.  I'm 41 (shut it!) and my oldest sister hit me for the first time this past summer. Long story involving LOTS of alcohol lol.

{2}What is the most stressful aspect to blogging (aside from the network going down)?

Remembering to comment on all my favorite blogs. Hell, sometimes I'll read one of my favs and just not having anything to add (to the comments) but I always feel like I have to leave a comment. Lol I also seem to have trouble remembering if I've replied to a comment that someone left on my blog. I do try to always reply to them but dayum y'all. I'm blond and I have ADHD. Cut me some slack, please.
