Up in the Clouds @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

the challenge is "Up in the Clouds" which means we want to see a cloud or clouds on your card.

My card required some major surgery on a Die-namics die. Let's just say the scissors I used to mangle cut apart all the clouds will never, ever be the same again.

Kicking myself that I didn't cut the paper out in between the balloon strings.

Dog image is from Tiddly Inks and the sentiment was from the cheapie stamp bin at Michaels.

So why not head over to Little Red Wagon and enter the "Up in the Clouds" challenge? And be sure to check out the fabulous projects the other Girlfriends have done.

I Got New Scissors!!!

Woo hoo! I'm so excited that I'm running through the house yelling about it. Though I'm not running with the scissors. No, no, no. Cause we're all about safety here at Huh. So this is a blog.

And my new scissors cut things so much better than my 15 year old made-for-kids scissors. Like buttah. And not the butter that you just got out of the fridge either. Everyone knows you need a hatchet and super-human strength to cut that butter. No, I mean the butter that you left sitting out on the table at the family bbq in August in the 28ΒΊC heat that you forgot to put away for a few hours because you were too busy kicking butt in the water balloon toss and the 3-legged race. That kind of buttah.

I mean, just look at the ends of that ribbon. No more raggedy-jaggedy ribbon tails. *squeal*

And they weren't easy to get either. Oh no. 'Cause if you remember, I'm apparently the only person in the world who would want left-handed craft scissors. I had to order them online from a store in England who got them from the factory in Germany where they are made. 'Cause that must be where all the left-handed crafters live.

So, danke German factory that makes left-handed scissors. You've made me very happy.

Waaaaaay Too Much Crackle Accents

But it was my first time using them so I at least have an excuse. Hmmmm....I guess I could pretend that I did it on purpose because that's how I wanted the card to look.

Now that's a plan. Just go ahead and ignore all those sentences above.

It's gotta be mailed so I was trying to keep it as flat a possible. Digi was a freebie from Beccy's Place.

Clean & Simple @ Little Red Wagon

It was my turn to pick the challenge at

this week so I decided to go back to my roots, back to when I first started this whole cardmaking, blogging venture, back to when I made clean & simple cards simply because that's all I had the ability to make (and don't you dare go back and look at some of those earliest creations).

But you're not here about the past, you're here to see what I made for today, and it's this.....

Love this digi. It's a retired freebie from Birdie Brown (Torico).
