Happy Leap Day, everyone! (Is that what you're supposed to say? That's what I'm gonna say, regardless!) Since I was curious as to the exact reason why we have an extra day in February every four years I looked it up. And, this is why....
Ancient Egyptians are smart and figured out that solar calendar and the man-made calendar didn’t match up. It takes the Earth 365 days to travel around the sun, but the Egyptians realized that it’s roughly “365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes, and 46 seconds, to be exact.” So the extra time amounts to an extra day on our calendar — Leap Year!
Huh, so there you go. And if you happen to be a Leapling, Happy Birthday! I'm betting you celebrate extra hard when you get to celebrate on your actual birthday. Okay, on to the real reason you're here....
For the next two weeks at
we've got an easy one for you. We just want to see an animal on your project!
This is what I did....
I used an image from the Bobbleheadz Forest Animals bundle. Love these guys. And I've linked you to the combo pack so you can get both the b & w AND coloured images.
Why not grab some of your furry friends and enter the challenge? And be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has made.

New Tiddly Digi! - Fab Friday @ Tiddly Inks
Funny, when I first typed my title I accidentally put Feb Friday instead of Fab Friday.....but I guess that would've been fitting too. And it's our last Friday in February at that. Well, let's celebrate by showing off the newest Tiddly Inks digi!
And here she is.....
Isn't she sweet? She's called Wryn - My Happy Thought and you can get her right here. She's perfect for almost any occasion, ain't she?
Grumpf. I'm feeling peeved at people right now.....two of my jobs are being real pains today. Well the jobs aren't....some of the people I have to deal with are. So, after I'm done working tomorrow this is what I'll be like.....
I'll just get my kids to toss in a bag of Doritos, (the orange kind or suffer the consequences), some peanut M & Ms and a couple cans of Diet Coke and I might not emerge until Monday.
If you're not hiding out somewhere make sure you go check out the rest of the Fabby Friday makes. You can see 'em all right here.

Furry Friends @ Little Red Wagon
This week at
it's my turn to host and the challenge is "Furry Friends" which just means that I want to see an animal on your project.
I went with an animal that's a fave around here.....
...sheep, of course! And a pun! Made this for my oldest, the sheep farmer, whose birthday was earlier this month. I love that sheep doing the waggling hooves and tongue thing. Too funny. Digi is from Bugaboo Stamps.
Speaking of sheep, it's lambing season at oldest's barn. As of Sunday there were 46 lambs born. Not sure where the child gets his work ethic....he gets up weekday mornings at 5:40am to do chores, and for the past month or so he's been getting up around 2:00am every night to check on them to make sure any newly born lambs are doing okay. I wanted him to send me a big group photo of a bunch of the lambs. This is what I got instead....but it made me lol so I thought I'd share it....
....look she's made herself a hat.
And here's a little lamby video.....
Okay, I'm thinking the sheep have hijacked this post for long enough now....why not grab your favourite furry friend and join us for our challenge? Then you can head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up. And, while you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the other Girlfriends have created.

Pop of Colour! @ Little Red Wagon
This week at
it's Mandy's turn to choose the challenge and she's going with "Pop of Colour!" which means she wants to see mostly neutrals except for one POP of colour.
I had fun with this one. Well, once I had figured out what I wanted to do, that is. And, I figured out what I wanted to do when I saw a sketchy digi from Sassy Cheryl's. I love sketchy digis. Anyhoo, this is what I did....
I'd like to pretend that I actually did much colouring on this but truth be told, even though I did run a coloured pencil around the edges here and there, I'm pretty sure it didn't make much difference. I did add the red though for my pop of colour so at least I did something.
So why not grab some neutrals and just one colour and join us for our challenge? Then you can head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up. And, while you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the other Girlfriends have created.

Thinking of You @ Tiddly Inks
For the next two weeks at
we're thinking of you. Well, maybe not you exactly. But also, maybe you exactly. What I'm trying to say is that we want to see your thinking of you project, using a Tiddly Inks image, of course!
This is what I did.....
I used Charles's Tulips. He looks like a right proper gentleman, doesn't he? Not sure what I think of my paper choice though. One minute I like it the next moment I don't. And what's with seam binding? Why does it always photograph so liney? Hmmmm.....do I have anything else to complain about? Nope, I think I'm good (for now).
So why not grab a Tiddly Inks image, and think about someone near & dear to you and enter the challenge? And be sure to also check out the fabulousness the DT has come up with.
Also for:
The Sisterhood of Crafters: warm thoughts - warm colours, heavy jacket, sentiment

Birthdays @ Melonheadz Friends
For the next two weeks at
we've got a super-duper easy challenge for you - it's birthdays! So, let's see those birthday projects.
I did something a bit interesting this time 'round.....
Don't know if it's perfectly seeable from that shot. Here's a close up....
There we go. As you can tell, I cut (well, had my Silhouette cut on my behalf) the circles and the squigglies out of the present and made it into a shaker. A bit fiddly, it was, but it actually worked out perfectly. Well, perfectly except for the Fun Foam peeking out here and there. But, I decided not to let that bother me as there wasn't much I could do about it anyways. I used an image from the Happy Birthday set. Lots of wonderful birthday art in this bundle!
You know you could definitely use a birthday card so why not whip one up and enter the challenge? And be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has made.
