Too Cute Owl

Hello Everyone!  Wow, long time no post for me, right?  Well, it was official in February, I finished my Bachelor of Science in Computer IT/Information Management!  So now I have two Bachelors degrees and no job, does not sound quite right, does it?  Wish me luck and even say some prayers for me to find the right job soon.  In the meantime to keep me sane, I am crafting a bunch of cards, and decided I had better start showing them off.

This is a cute digi image is from 2 Cute Ink, a link to them can be found on the side bar of this blog.  I am not sure if this particular digi image is still available, but they have a ton of others just as cute.  If it is not, drop her a message and ask if she will add it back to her shop.  I used a variety of supplies, the banners are some DSP from my stash and i have no idea where they came from, the rest of the card stock is from Stampin Up.  Speaking of DSP, their new catalog has some gorgeous paper in it, check it out!  I colored the owl with a combination of Copic and Stampin UP Markers, so sorry I forget which ones.  The cards I am going to be posting for the next week or two I have made over the past year and so I apologize for not knowing the exact supplies used.

Well, I am off for now, my next post will have a card made with Sister Stamps, they are completely adorable Asian stamps, I wish I was working so I could buy some more of them.  Seriously, check them out, there is a link on my sidebar of my blog of course.  You will love them!

Until next time.......................Blessings,  Lisa

Father's Day Cards

Hello peeps, I hope everyone is doing well.  I have been so busy that I didn't even post my mother's day cards for you to see, please accept my apologies on that.  I have some quick Father's day card ideas for you.  I have a hard time with masculine cards as many ladies do, so I could not skip posting these.  One is for my dad and the other is for my daughter to give to my hubby.

This one is obviously for my dad.  The funny thing is that I bought this stamp set from Just for Fun Stamp Company to use in scrapbooking to create titles for pages, but found that some of them work great on cards as well.  With the words dad, father and Grandfather on it, it works great for all of us to send it.  The background stamp is from Hero Arts, love their background stamps!  The little star embellishments are Martha Stewart. The twine of course is from Doodle Bug Design.  Here is the next card:
Similar layout, different stamps.  These stamps are from an Inkadinkado alphabet stamp set that was a gift from a friend.  I then punched them out with a retired Stampin Up punch, I forget what is called, but it is a kind of wonky square shape.  Well, that is it for today.  Have a great father's day!

Until next time..................blessings, Lisa

He is Risen!!!!!! Happy Easter

hello, I hope this Easter Sunday finds all of you healthy and happy.  A few months ago I purchased a cute little stamp set of crosses, the brand is from Inkadinkado.  I thought Easter would be an appropriate time to start inking them up.  Here is what I made with one of them:

Ok, I loaded the inside photo first, oops.  Trying to cook Easter dinner, so no time to try and fix.  The card stock is Stampin Up, except for the glittery card stock which is Die Cuts with a View, and let me tell you it is awesome, the glitter does not rub off, even when you use punches with it.  Love it.  The embossing folder is Darice and the ink is of course Stampin Up.  Love it.  Ok, off to check on dinner.

Until next time..........Blessings,     Lisa

Easter Cards for the kiddos

I cannot believe Easter is almost here!!!  I have a great niece and nephew that live out on the West Coast and I am in Ohio, so I sent them each a little treat and a handmade card.  They are little tykes in Kindergarten and First Grade, my sweet angels Tristin and London.  Tristin loves Lego's and London loves Hello Kitty, two things that I adored when I was a kid also.  So, I had a great time making these cards.  I hope you like them.  Yes, Trisitn's name on the front is meant to be jumbled and not lined up evenly.  Here they are:

I cut out the rectangles on the lego card and used a 1/2" circle punch for the dots, and a white prismacolor pencil to add a little depth to them.  The letter stamps are from a retired Stampin Up set.

The hello Kitty card was made with some Sizzix Di-cuts, a Stampin Up trio flower punch, and a Spellbinder's label di-cut.  I forget which label, sorry.

To my sweet little angels I just want to tell you once again, that even though I live so far away, I love you very much!!!!  Have a very happy and fun Easter and be good kids for your mom!!

Until next time..........Blessings,   Lisa
