This card is for the Sketch Challenge on SCS this week! As soon as I saw the three squares, I knew I wanted to use this cuttlebug die that's been lurking in my draw for a while. I found out a friend of mine is having surgery on Tuesday, so this one is heading to her.
I started with a base of Close to Cocoa and layered it with white and then some pink bazzill. Then I added some of this pretty Melissa Frances paper across the bottom and stamped the sentiment from Stampin' Up's Elegant Cheer set (not available in Australia yet). The top panel is a layer of white topped with a piece of Close to Cocoa that's been embossed with 'Stylized Flower' embossing folder. The squares were cut out of white with the cuttlebug 'Vintage' die set. The butterflies are made using the Martha Stewart Royal Butterfly punch and some pink bazzill with pink rhinestones for the body.
I really enjoyed this challenge and might have to make another card using the other square die in that set!!!
That's all for today, thanks for visiting!! :)

Masculine 50th Birthday
I was asked to make a men's 50th Birthday card. Normally I find masculine cards difficult to make, but thankfully the woman who wanted it told me pretty much everything she wanted, so it turned out to be no trouble at all.
I started with a Very Vanilla card base, layered with some Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa and Creamy Caramel and then a piece of DSP from the SU 'Outlaw' pack. The image panel has been stamped with 'Pocket Silhouettes' (not available in Australia yet) in creamy caramel and Chocolate Chip and cut out with rectangle nestabilities. The ribbon underneath it is 1 inch satin from SU - retired. The sentiment panel was made using my Just Rite stampers that I bought at The Little Online Card Shop . The outer ring was done with the Small Letter Set, the 50 was done with the Brayton Font set (that I got for my birthday from my bestie Edna ) and popped up. Finished off by adding some CB 'Vintage Die' corners.

A New Challenge...
Today while blurfing around I came across Paula's Blog with her Midnight Madness Inspiration challenge. As soon as I saw the soft shades of pink and blue, dots and cupcakes I knew that I wanted to give this challenge a go!!!
I started with a blue bazzill base and topped it with pink bazzill (pierced the edges) and then white. I thought the white needed something and gave it a bit of texture with the Devine Swirls EF (only now you can't see it anyway!!). Then I took some MAMBI paper but decided it looked a bit plain and cut it into three pieces and matted it on the pink.
The main image is from Verve's Cupcake Affair set. Verve is having a large sale at the moment for anyone thinking of buying!! I stamped the cupcake in black and embossed it and then coloured it with markers and a blender pen, cut it out and popped it on the circle layer. The circle layer was done with the circle nestabilities and the white layer was embossed with the Devine Swirl EF. I finished off by adding some white grosgrain ribbon and the sentiment from the same set.

ODBD Sketch 2 - In Our Prayers
Today's card was created using the Sketch Challenge from Our Daily Bread Designs . I found the sketch on Sita's blog.
I started with a cream base and layered with gold and then brown and topped with some of this pretty paper by Paperie (Toile Mocha). Then I took another piece of that same paper flipped it over and used the scallop punch (SU) to to the edge (which you can hardly see now!). For the sentiment, I cut the tag out with Spellbinders 'Ribbon Tag Trio' die, stamped the sentiment from ODBD's 'Flourished Christian Symbols' in gold and attached with some dark cream satin ribbon. The main panel was cut with the Label One Nestabilities however I wanted a finer edge mat, so I glued the cream panel to some brown and cut the layer out with scissors - it was after I'd done it that I realised that I wanted some texture on that panel, so then I embossed both layers with the Swiss Dots embossing folder and added some prima flowers and some pearl centres. The dove also comes from 'Flourished Christian Symbols' - stamped in gold and then embossed in gold and cut out with scissors and a scalpal for those tricky flourish bits (don't look too close I've never used a scalpal before!!!) and popped the entire dove up on pop dots. I figured it needed a little something more, so I added some tiny pearls to the top corners. I really enjoyed the challenge and loved the sketch.

Daisy Wishes
This card is for this week's SFYTT (Sketch For You To Try) from Jen's Blog .
I started with some dark blue bazzill and then layered with some green and then some lighter blue and topped with some pretty Basic Grey paper from the Lily Kate range. The middle panel I've cut into a ribbon shape (which wasn't real smart because I covered most of it) and then embossed with the Floral Screen embossing folder. The main image is from SU's Upsy Daisy set (N/A in Aust yet) and stamped in Versacolor (sky blue) and cut out with oval nestabilities and added a dark blue butterfly punch (Martha Stewart) and added some pearls to the body.
The tag has been die cut with Spellbinders 'Ribbon Tag Trio', stamped with SU's 'Warmest Regards' (retired) in Versacolor (atlantic) and added some American Crafts ribbon to each side and popped it up on foam tape. I finished off with some pearls in the bottom corners.
The great thing about this, is that I can also use it for this week's Our Creative Corner Tag Challenge !! :)
