Christmas!

Hello! I am very lax about getting my work photographed and loading it on here. I am sans a digital camera now! Hopefully, Santa heard my cry for help! So in the meantime, here are my cell photos:

I love this cat stamp...it looks VERY similar to my little "Biddy!" I colored the eyes green with a blender pen, and used white ice stickles to color her fur. I used a 2" scalloped circle punch to punch the image, and then glued a green circle to mount behind it. I used a multi sized word window punch to do the sentiment and "frame" it and a ribbon punch to tie the ribbon through. I used a stitching border stamp to line the edges of the cards. I think that's all! Thanks for stopping by and have a very Happy Holiday!

Simple Something

This is the card I made for the Stamp Something Challenge Blog. The challenge was to use only one layer...tough one! So I went with a navy cardstock, punched some silver snowflakes and embellished them with silver and white Stickles (my FAVORITE thing!) I used a metal tag and attached with a jeweled brad and some white ribbon. I also stamped a stitching stamp with VersaMark and silver embossing powder along the edge of the card. I used a Stampin' Up stamp from the Window to the World set. Sorry about the weird pic. I really need a better camera!

Jessicas

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by! Today I'm posting a couple of cards. The first is a card I made (many of) for my cousin, Jessica, who is expecting. I made these multi-use cards in pink, green and cream and gave them as part of her shower gift. They can be used as thank you cards or as birth announcements. I left a loose card stamped with baby themed info stamp in coordinating colors and ribbon. The stamps were from Stampin' Up, I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the background.

The second card is a birthday card for my friend's daughter, Jessica. She is turning 10 and she's into funky, bright and loud! So I made this "tie dyed" retro flower card. I used a lime green textured cardstock as the base. The floral background and cut outs are from a pre-printed card I received from a friend. I embellished the flowers with glue on rhinestones. The next layer is a piece of white cardstock that I saturated with water, then dropped ink refill droppers on the paper and let the water bleed on it's own. I dried it with the heat gun to set it. I cut corners from scrap cardstock. Finally, the center metal tag was embellished with a white rub-on "j" and a flower brad. That's all for today! Thanks for stopping by :)

Lift off!

It's been a while since I've posted. I've barely been home through the month of October! Now, here it is, November! My gosh, this year has flown by! So I am posting this card. It was the birthday card for my friend's five-year-old. He's going through the fascination with outer space phase and dressed up as Alan B. Shepard for Halloween! So I thought it was only fitting to make a Space Shuttle card. I used a navy textured cardstock as the base. I used white craft ink to stamp a "starry" background and made the shooting stars with a chalk pen. The shuttle is a shrunken image from a coloring sheet I found on the web. I outlined it with black Sharpie and colored parts of it. I did the "5" with red Stickles. The final touch was the free-hand flames which were colored with red Stickles, orange and yellow markers. The image was adhered with 3-d glue squares. I love this simple card...and when he opened it,it was the best reaction I've ever gotten from one of my cards! I apologize for the poor quality of the picture...it was taken with my cell phone! Have a great weekend!

25th Anniversary

Hello! Here is my latest piece of work. Tomorrow is my cousin's 25th wedding anniversary. So I decided to go with a silver theme...using lots of gray and black. I hand drew the 25 and cut it out of light gray cardstock. I then mounted it to the darker gray. I versa marked with a Stampin' Up wheel, and then used silver embossing powder to "color" it. I re-cut out the 25 and used 3D squares to mount to the card. I used the computer to print out the word "years." I got the patterned paper, word window and "Mr. & Mrs." tag at the Dollar Tree. Thanks for looking! Have a great weekend!

Long Overdue!

Hello Everyone! Sorry I've been away for so long! I've been stamping away in my free time, but too busy (and some days lazy) to post my work! So today, I scanned and photographed just about everything and I'm doing a mass post! I have several things here...birthday, hello, miscellaneous...you name it! I have several from Stamp Club at Denise's last week and some from a card kit from Papercraft Magazine that I, of course, attempted to alter. If you would like any info about any details, supplies or stamps I've used, please email me! I'd be glad to share! Have a great day!

Get Well

Today I spoke with my sister-in-law (briefly) and she is recovering from a major surgery. She goes through so much so I thought I would send her a bright, cheerful looking card to (hopefully) make her smile! I used some patterned paper on yellow cardstock, layered it and used some white sheer ribbon across the center. The 3-d butterfly was stamped on vellum in two shades of green, cut out and layered. I adhered them with some tombo, then a pale green rhinestone brad. I used foam 3-d squares to mount the butterfly and the circle. I punched the heart shape and stamped the words on a circle I cut out. The picture isn't the best indicator of how it looks...I couldn't get a good angle! Feel free to leave your thoughts! Have a great night!

Back to crafting...

It's been such a busy couple of weeks. My full time business has finally started taking off and I can't believe how much I have to get done now! But I had some much needed time off the past couple of days and I decided to get a couple of projects done! First off, last week I did a masculine themed card for a swap...I decided to go with a Poker theme. It's quite plain, but I love the color combo!

The next card is one that I was messing around with that was not working for me when I did it. It was from a stamp club a while back. I hated the card, so I cut the pieces I wanted, and re-adhered them to new cardstock. I love it now!

The next card I am showing here was my birthday card from my best friend in the world, Denise! She did such a beautiful job! My newest love is the Magnolia images and she picked a perfect Tilda image for my taste! I love the colors...it's very country/cozy feeling!

And finally this is a fun/experimental card. The blues aren't quite right, but it's meant for a 5 year-old! Denise's son's birthday was last week, and I wasn't able to make it to the party. And like a true space cadet, I forgot to mail him his card. So I scrapped the birthday card, and made this one to send him to wish him well on his first day of Kindergarten! He's starting to get into Batman so I found a coloring sheet online, printed it, scanned it and resized it to fit on a card. I colored it with colored pencils, then stickled it for pop. I used the collage alphabet from Stampin' Up to make his name, tore the pieces and threw it all together. It's not perfect, but I like it anyway!
