Clean and Simple Valentine

This week's challenge at Totally Stampalicious is to make a Clean and Simple card.  We want you to keep your layers to just a few.  I'm super excited for this challenge because I've been working on making more CAS cards.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Monkey Love, Whimsical Words
Paper:  Kraft, Baja Breezes, In Color Designer Paper
Ink:  Memento Black, Brown & tan Copic Markers, Black Sharpie, Poppy Parade
Accessories:  Corner Rounder Punch, Small Heart Punch, Scallop Trim Border Punch

I used the adorable Monkey Love stamp set from Totally Stampalicious for the image and sentiment.    I fussy cut the cute monkey out using my little Fiskars scissors.  I could use a bit more practice on the fussy cut technique but I do think it looks better against the red background this way.

For the layout, I enlisted the help of this week's CAS-ual Friday's challenge sketch.  You can find the challenge HERE or by clicking on the sketch image below.

I decided it would be fun to decorate the inside of this card too.  Here's a look at the inside......

The sentiment is from a retired Stampin Up Sale-a-Bration set.  It reads You're never more than a Thought away.

Fishing with Gus

This week's challenge at Totally Stampalicious is to make a Masculine Card.  I love this challenge because I never have enough masculine cards.  I chose to use the newly released Gus Fishing stamp set for my card.  I decided to go with earth tones for this card.  The image is matted on hunter green cardstock.  Now there's a color that I almost NEVER use, but yet it seems appropriate for GUS.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my card today!  I hope you get a chance to play along in our Masculine card challenge this week!

Clean and Simple Anniversary Card

I've been working on making some more Clean & Simple cards.  I really enjoyed the online Clean & Simple card making class that I recently took.  Today I have a very simple Anniversary card that was inspired by the class.

I LOVE plain white cards so the day 7 class on white cards was one of my favorites from the 10 classes.

Here's my CAS Anniversary card......

Supplies:
Stamps:  Cheers to You, Hero Arts Sentiments
Paper:  PTI White, Brushed Silver, Basic Black
Ink:  Momento Black, Silver Pigment Ink
Accessories:  Dazzling Diamonds, Silver Embossing Powder,
Marvy Giga Scallop Square Punch, Scallop Edge Punch

The champagne glasses were stamped with silver pigment ink and then embossed with silver embossing powder.  I filled the glasses with Dazzling Diamonds.  The card edge was punched with the scallop edge punch and then outlined with the Dazzling Diamonds.  It's hard to see in the picture but it looks really pretty IRL.

Deepest Sympathy, Black and White

I'm venturing out and joining in on this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge.  The challenge is to make a project that is only black and white.  I think this is such an elegant color combination!  It would work beautifully for a wedding or anniversary card as well as for this sympathy card I made.

Now that I've worked my way through the online Clean and Simple card making class, I thought I should start challenging myself to participate in some CAS challenges.  What better place to start than with this gorgeous color combination challenge.

Here's my black and white sympathy card:

Supplies:
Stamps:  Hero Arts Sentiments
Paper:  PTI White, Basic Black
Ink:  Momento Black
Accessories: Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die, Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder, Basic Pearls Small

This was really simple to put together.  I embossed the base layer with the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder.  Stamped the sentiment on the bottom, attached the butterflies and colored in the centers of the embossed flowers.

Just in case you'd like to play along in the Black & White challenge.....Here's the link to the CAS-ual Fridays challenge blog......

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my Black and White Clean and Simple card!
