3-D Halloween

Good morning!  I'm just bouncing off the walls with excitement and today is my very first post as a member of the By LORi Designs design team!!!  Hee!  It's just so crazy and amazing and I think I'll fit right in!

Lori challenged us to make something for Halloween that isn't a card and with her darling Halloween images, this set of treat bags was so much fun to put together.

I used Little Ghosts - Peek & Boo on my project (printed them in wallet size) and colored them with Copic markers.  I used the biggest Labels 8 Spellbinders and folded it in half over the treat bag.  The fun papers are Spookville by We R Memory Keepers.  I've been hoarding buttons and bling, so I threw some on each label to spice it up a bit.  I'm not sure I can bear to watch the kids rip these open!

Here's a better view of the bling and cute little ghost (oh and delicious popcorn!).

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Karen

Happy Birthday TSG + Bonus Prize!!

Hello!!  I have a super fun post for you today and its all because There She Goes Clear Stamps is turning 3 this month!  Each of the TSG Trendsetters are giving away a FREE MINI SET and today is MY day to treat you to some blog candy!  Woot!

All you need to do to be eligible to win is leave me a comment here on this post between now and October 1st and I'll pick someone through a random number generator to see which of the comments is the lucky winner!  Easy as pie!

TSG is hosting a NEW challenge this week that you'll want to take part in too!  Everyday this week (Monday-Friday) Jessica will post a piece of a project she has created using multiple TSG stamp sets and it will be up to YOU to name which stamp sets were used in the piece shown that day. Comment moderation will be turned on so that it will be fair to all participants. At the end of the week a winner will be chosen using a random number generator from the correct answers.

So in the spirit of celebrating birthdays this month, I made a fun little birthday card!
I used Make a Wish for this card and stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Copic markers.  The layout is the September Sketch For You to Try from Jen Del Muro, which was SO perfect for this image and sentiment.  The patterned papers are 6x6 Blink of an Eye by My Mind's Eye - so cute!!

Don't forget to stop on by the TSG blog to get all the details for this week's challenge - fun prizes await!

Thanks so much for stopping by -

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 136

Good morning - It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. The links will close on Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time), and I'll randomly select one card to feature on my blog on Saturday. So, as long as your card is linked by 10 PM Friday, your card will be in the drawing. Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC136 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.

For my card today, I'm using By LORi Designs digi image called Lollipop - Sisters and I printed it out as a wallet size and colored it with Copics.  I tried my hardest to color hair like the uber talented Jen Shults - have you seen her mad coloring skills??  The patterned papers are from the 6x6 Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky pack and I added a few Stampin' Up! buttons.

I have some exciting news for many of you who have been asking me if I would put together a sketch book - well, I've put all of the sketches on Flickr!  Yes!  You can see all of the SSSC sketches in one place from now on, so I hope this will inspire us to use those long forgotten sketches from the beginning.  I know I should use them more!

The Sweet Sunday Stampers have amazing sketch samples to show you today, so stop on by to see:
Thanks for stopping by!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who participated this week - I always enjoy seeing what you all come up with for each sketch and see new faces along the way.

Happy Birthday Blog Hop for By LORi Designs!

Good morning and happy Friday!!  I'm SO excited to be taking part in By LORi Designs Birthday Blog Hop!  Lori has fun prizes and all kinds of fabulousness, so be sure to stop by her shop for all the birthday giveaway details - the links are at the end of this post.  If you've stopped here by way of Anna Maria, then you are at the right place.

For my card I'm using this sweet little Lollipop Lil' Chef.  DARLING!  My daughter is going to a sleep-over birthday party this weekend and I thought this would be a fun image to work with since she's in jammies and all.  I'm sure there won't be any 8-year-olds making breakfast Sunday morning, but I'm sure they'd love to make their own pancakes.

I colored the image with all sorts of Copics and used papers from the 6x6 Splash paper pack from Echo Park.  The layout is the fabulous Jen Shults' Deconstructed Sketch 7 and I kept it super simple and clean.

Be sure to stop by and see everyone on the hop and leave a comment to increase your chance to win!  Lori has all the info at the first stop:
