Christmas Card Challenge #31 - Anything Goes!

Happy Sunday Christmas stampers!  This week over at Christmas Card Challenge it's an Anything Goes challenge (except that it has to be Christmas related!).  So here's what I came up with.  I purchased this die at a stamp show last summer and I never used it.  (I'm trying to use some of the items I've purchased and never used.)  I die cut it from red cardstock and placed him on a snow bank I made from the polka dot paper.  I created some falling snow with a stencil, modeling paste, and some blue ink.   I added the die cut and stamped the rest of the sentiment and then some glitter dots.

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for my inspiration.

Just Us Girls #247 - Photo Inspiration Challenge

Hi everyone!  I hope the sun is shining in your part of the world like it is in mine!  We've been having some pretty nice summer weather here and I'm lovin' it!

Today, Marisa has chosen a great photo for the Just Us Girls Photo Inspiration Challenge.  Love these colors!

Here's a close-up of the photo so you can see more of the details.  Gorgeous!

My inspiration came from the chevrons, the bedspread, and polka dots.  I stamped the chevrons in gray ink, then die cut the leaf from black cardstock.  The flowers were stamped in black ink, then I used a 1" and 3/4" punch and some polka dot paper for the centers.  There's some Wink of Stella shimmer on the flower centers which you can't see in the photo.  I die cut the "hello" about five times and stacked them together.  I put some glossy accents on it (it's still wet in the photo and looks a little blue-ish).  I added some enamel dots to finish it off.

I used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch as my inspiration for the layout.  It's a pretty loose sketch!  I hope mine is acceptable!
