Exciting News to share!!!

You may have read yesterday's post that it was my last day as GDT member at the Digi Bell's and how sad I was!! Well that was a bit of a cover because guess what??? I was asked to stay on as permanent DT member and I only had to think for a nanosecond before accepting!!! I have had an absolute ball designing with Elisabeth Bell's Digi's and working alongside the Digi Bell's DT so I am SUPER EXCITED to be staying on!!! So thank you to Janiel and Lynda (and Elisabeth) and the rest of the DT for the opportunity...
I am also excited to share with you that I will be GDT member over at The Crafty Pad!! Deborah Moore emailed me and after me asking questions as to whether I had entered to be A GDT member or won a challenge, (LOL) I accepted. Deborah draws her own images and sells them in her digi store and I look forward to creating with some of her images!!!
Well besides all that exciting news I do have a creation to share with you and I am excited about that as well!! I have seen Book Cards around in the blogging world for awhile now and I finally sat down and made one the other day and I absolutely love what I created!!! My sister (who is my number one customer) asked me to make a wedding card (that would hold money) a couple of weeks ago and I wasn't too sure what I was going to do but when I started making the book card I thought it would be perfect for a wedding card! So after getting the approval I got creating and.... well you judge for yourself!! :)

I followed Tina's fantastic tutorial which you can find HERE and it worked perfectly!!. I think the pics speak for themselves!!! I coloured these images from Whiff of Joy - Willow with Champagne - an Elisabeth Bell image and Charlie 007 - an Alison Acton image  with tria markers and used glitter pens through the girls dress and in the champagne and martini glasses. All the papers are from Kaszazz which I distressed with walnut stain distress ink! I've stuck the images down with mounting foam and I've then added all the other embellishments - flowers, rhinestones and ribbon.I also used the Stampin Up eyelet border punch for the edges of the card!! And on the inside I used a Kaszazz Background stamp!!
I hope you like it as much as I do..
I am entering this into the following challenges:
* Emerald Faerie Garden - Flowers, Flowers, Flowers
* Bearly Mine Challenges - Anything but a card (hope this qualifies)
* Creative Card Crew - Fallín For You
* Creative Craft Challenges - Fancy Edges

My last Post as GDT member at the Digi Bell's..

Wow, where have the last three months gone!!! I have no idea but I have had a fabulous time being a GDT member and have felt very honoured to have been a part of  such a talented DT and to be working with Elisabeth Bell's images! So THANK YOU to the Digi Bell's DT and to Elisabeth Bell for having me as part of the team for a short while!! :)
So today is my last day to post as a guest Digi Bell and I have decided to use Little Rapunzel - one of Elisabeth Bell's many sweet digi's!! I was originally going to make a "Fall card" but I have been away for the weekend looking after my niece and nephew so only had limited supplies with me so went with a different idea altogether!! And because I had limited supplies i've actually just finished my card now that I am home so the photo isn't the greatest but I'll be back tomorrow with a better quality picture!! PROMISE!
Edited: New photo of better quality
Again I apologise for the photo!! I coloured Little Rapunzel in with Tria markers and a glitter pen. The CS is Bazzill and the SB is from Magnolia. I then just added buttons, ribbon, flowers, pearls and made some shrinky dink butterflies!!
Again I'd like to say thanks to all the wonderful DT over at the Digi Bell's. I really have had a wonderful time designing with you. And thank you to Elisabeth Bell for trusting me to create cards with your gorgeous digi's!
Be sure to check out the Digi Bell's blog later today to see who will be the next GDT memebrs for the next three months!!!
And be sure to come back here tomorrow as I have some exciting news to share with you!!!

Use a Digi!! PCJ DT!

Yep another fortnight closer to christmas!! October is nearly over and I am yet to start my Christmas cards!! I made a list at the start of the year of things I wanted to get done and starting my Christmas cards in October was one of them but I am yet to get started!! Oh well!! will start them soon in between DT committments!!
So onto this fortnights Paper Crafting Journey challenge which is Use a Digi!! An easy one I think,  I know for me I have been using digi's more and more because they are so versatile!! We are sponsored this month by Glitterbabe Digi's and Stef is kindly giving the winner 3 digi's of their choice!
And Stef gave us some images to play with!! I actually used an image that I got from Stef awhile ago because I needed to make a belated birthday card and this image was perfect.

Isn't he cute and I just love that sentiment!! I coloured the dragon in with tria markers and glitter pens and added kindyglitz to the stars around him!! I cut out a couple of circles with my new circle scissor plus that I got from Stampin' UP and inked around the edges on the imahe and paper pierced around the purple circle!! I found the  scalloped circle in my stash and used another square piece of scrap for the other corner!! I then just made some flowers and added buttons!!

If you haven't already, head on over to the Paper Crafting Journey blog to see what the rest of the DT /GDT have done!! There are lots of  gorgeous creations!!!

Pink and Purple, Pearls and Pretties!! EBW Oct Challenge!!

Hello and Welcome to my followers old and new!! I hope that you have loved all my Steampunk creations I  have been making!! I had a lot of fun making them and think that style came natural to me once I got started!! So with today being the 25th October it is time for the next Elisabeth Bell's World  Challenge and we want to see your Purple, Pink, Pearls and Pretties on your creations!! Easy right, who doesn't love adding flowers, bling anything to make your cards look pretty!!
Here is what I made!

I think I used a sketch but can't remember where from, I usually go to Feline Playful when I'm stuck for ideas!! Anyway I used Elisabeth Bell's Digi - Sweet Sundae. I coloured her with Tria markers and glitter pen (yes I know I am addicted). All the papers are from my scraps, then I added the pearl, and flowers. I've stuck Sweet Sundae up on mounting foam because I like my cards to have a bit of depth!! And I think that is about it!!
So why don't you head on over to the Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the DT have created and to see what prizes are up for grabs this month. You won't want to miss it!!!
Also don't forget there's a Guest DT call over at the Digi Bell's at the moment, you don't want to miss that!!

GDT Digi Bell's - a few girls!!

I have been busy making cards all day as I had to have them made today/tonight (this being one of them) and I've just remembered I had to post my Digi Bell's card!!! I love all the Elisabeth Bell Digi's and I have had this idea in my head for awhile to shrink the images down and use a few of them at a time!! So today I chose to use A Tasty Read, I Love You This Much and Little Rapunzel. I have used the blue, white and red colour scheme as I have to make a card using my aussie flag colours for a RAK card so thought I'd kill two birds with one stone!!
I know I say this every time I make a Digi Bell's card but again I kept this simple!! I felt I needed to with using three images so all I did was colour up my images with Tria markers and glitter pens then used ribbon, flowers and rhinestones to pull my card together!! And I distressed around the edge of the white card with blue ink!! Feel free to click on the image to get a better view of my colouring!!! It's probably not as good as I would have liked but it was really hard to colour with the images being so little!!

Be sure to come back tomorrow for the October Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge!! There will be plenty of inspiration to see from all the DT.

SSD Steampunk challenge #4

Wow, I'm cutting it fine again today for the fourth and final challenge over at the Sassy Studio Designs progressive challenge.
Our last freebie we received for completing challenge #3 was Steampunk Vivian and our challenge - Anything Goes!! So I decided to use all the elements that we had to include in the last three challenges!! I have thoroughly enjoyed creating steampunk and vintage cards so I will probably create more of these in the near future!!
So I won't keep you anymore.. here is my card!!

I used The Sweet Stop Sketch but as you an see I have skewed the sketch a bit but all the elements are there with some added extras!! I coloured Steampunk Vivian, umbrella, gears and flying padlocks in with Tria markers and I added some glitter and shimmer chalks to give it a bit of sparkle (but as always, the camera didn't capture the sparkle). I inked the lace with black ink and also inked over the timeless sentiment which was a freebie over at the SSD PCP page! The papers are Graphic 45 again and I created the clock paper which is the base of the card!!! The umbrella and flying padlocks are from KL dezign but like I said the  other day I can't seem to find the blog!! There are quite a few layers to this card but I forgot to take a photo so you could see and I've now sold the card so can't show you (opps :))
I have been so happy with how my cards have turned out for this fun progressive challenge but I think I've got a bit better as the challenge went along and I absolutely love this card and clearly so did my friend as she just bought it!!!

Thanks to all the SSD DT for the freebies and the inspiration  for this progressive challenge and congrats for reaching 500 followers on PCP!

Besides entering this into the SSD challenge #4 for the progressive challenge I am also entering this card into the following challenges:
* The Sweet Stop - Sketch with the option of Pink
* The Corrosive Challenges - Flying Things
* Scrappy Frogs - Something that Flies
* Crafts for Eternity Recipe Challenge -  Metal Embellishment
