Better late than Never!!

I had planned to get birthday cards made and sent on time this year but I have already failed with January!! All cards have been late (and that's because they have to be sent overseas so they need to be made a week earlier), but I'm hoping to get better from here on in!! So it's my friend Jon's birthday today (in Scotland) so I made this card for him!!! He doesn't play the drums but my son chose this stamp when we were at Heaven Scent Crafts shop a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to make a card with it!!

This is the first time I've used a Kenny K stamp, his name is Buggin' Drummer! I used the Sweet Stop Sketch to get me started! I coloured the image in with Tria markers and you can't see it but around the rim of each drum and the drum stands I have coloured them in with glitter pens. I added some crystal effects to his sunglasses and some kindy glitz around the left symbol (cos it needed some bling!!) I'm not sure where the design papers are from but they were perfect for this card!! I've inked around the edge of all papers with Chipped sapphire Distress ink. The sentiment and the little guitar are from Tickled Pink stamps. I then just added a couple of rhinestones for a bit more bling!!

Elisabeth Bell's World Hearts Challenge!!

I am back from all my mini holidays and  now it's time to get ready for the beginning of the school/kinder year!! And time to really get creating again!!!
Before I show you my creation for today's Elisabeth Bell's World "Hearts" Challenge i wanted to send out Big Birthday Hugs to Wendy for her Birthday today!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY WENDY! I hope your trip to your craft store (Which is 200kms away) is a fun one and you come home with lots of goodies to play with!!
So onto this months Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge! I decided to use one of the very first Elisabeth Bell stamps I bought from Whiff of Joy!! It was the first stamp kit they released a couple of years ago!

I coloured this sweet image in with Tria markers and tried my hand again at colouring pleats!! Not a great result but I will continue to practice!!! The papers are from Kaisercraft and the heart flower stamp is from Kaisercraft also/ the heart charm is something I found in my stash of jewellery. it's amazing how you look at everything different when it comes to crafts!! You can find a use for everything!! :) I also added kindyglitz and rhinestones for a bit of bling and sparkle.

Digi Bell's Blog Hop!!!

Janneke loves photography and so Elisabeth just had to do an image with a camera for her!! Isn't she just the cutest?

I loved working with this image and here is what I created:

I coloured her with Tria markers and have added kindyglitz to the flowers!! I started following a sketch but then went totally off tangent and this is what I came up with!!

PCJ Floral Challenge!!

Hello... Well it's been nearly two weeks since I posted anything!! As it's school holidays here in Australia and we have have beautiful weather, we have been to the beach for a holiday and catching up with many friends!!We have hardly been home since Christmas and we are away again on saturday for a few days!! Then it will be time to start getting ready for the start of a new school year!!!
     Talking about things new... it's time for a brand new challenge at Paper Crafting Journey and for our first challenge of 2012 it's an easy one - FLORAL.
 Before I share  my card with you I would just like to welcome our new DT members to the Team - Christy, Jessie, Kenzie, Lou and Renee. They are a very talented bunch of ladies and I know that they will fit into out PCJ family just fine!! So WELCOME LADIES!!

Onto my card...

I've had this Tilda stamp coloured up for ages but just haven't had the chance to use her on a card so decided to take this opportunity to use her now!!. I coloured her with Tria markers and looks like I was trying the feathered technique ( I think that's what it's called!).

The papers are from my stash and I added the ribbon, flowers, sentiment and rhinestones!!!
