Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash May Kit Challenge

Hello, everyone! Happy May 1st to you! Can you believe it is already May? Summer is almost here, and I am ready for it!

It is time for a new Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Kit challenge, and I actually have my kit all ready to go this month!

If you don't know what this challenge is all about, here's how it works: On the 1st of each month, we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month, we will use as much of our stash kit as possible on different projects. This will be a just-for-fun challenge, so there is no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash? We hope you will join us in our quest to bash our stash! If you play along, link up on either my blog or Lisa's blog (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month.

Here are the requirements for our May kit:

To create your kit, pull 3-5 patterned papers (any size), 2 - 3 embellishments, 2 - 3 cardstock sheets, alphas (stamps, stickers, etc.), and our focus item for our stash bash for April is flowers.

And, I just realized after typing that that I forgot to include my cardstock. I'm a little out of practice after not getting a kit together last month.

Here is my kit for May:

I was feeling those spring vibes when I pulled my kit for this month, and since iNSD is tomorrow, I went a little bigger with my kit.

Here is a look at my papers:

I have papers from Echo Park's New Day collection: the navy floral, tiny flowers on white, and the mint green papers. Echo Park's Easter Time: purple checked paper. The yellow heart paper is from Damask Love, and the navy tone-on-tone paper is so old I can't remember who it is from. Either O'Scrap or Pebbles. The blue grid and the pink-and-red striped paper are from paper pads, but I have no idea which ones.

I forgot to add the sticker sheet to the embellishment photo ( so out of practice here), so I added it in with the cut-apart papers I plan to use.

Here are my embellishments:

I pulled all of the die-cuts from the New Day collection that I thought I would use, along with the sticker book, puffy stickers, and enamel dots. I also went through my bashket (yeah, it's still around!) and pulled a few things: labels from Kelly Purkey, rubber words, wood veneer from Elle's Studio, word/phrase stickers from Simple Stories, epoxy shapes from Doodlebug Designs, a few brads, and a lot of random word/phrase die-cuts.

Here are the scraps I pulled - all are from the New Day collection:

Our focus item for May is flowers, and this is what I pulled:

Lots of stamps - sorry for the glare on those - wood veneer flowers from the Dollar Tree, puffy stickers from old kits from The ScrapRoom, and a few paper flowers.

I am ready to get a few pages made with my kit this month. Hopefully, it will be a variety of sizes - traditional 12x12, 6x8, and traveler's notebook layouts. I am really missing working in my traveler's notebooks!

Be sure to head over to Lisa's blog - My Creative Endeavors - to see the beautiful kit she has put together. Remember, this is a just-for-fun challenge, but if you do play along and put together your own stash bash kit, add it to the linky below, and we will be sure to check it out and cheer you on!

Here are the rules: 1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but please concentrate on using your kit, and link it below. 2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit. 3. If you have a blog, please include the challenge graphic and a link to our challenge in your posts. 4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2026

Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash March Kit Challenge

Hello, everyone! Happy Sunday and Happy March 1st! We have been enjoying beautiful spring-like weather lately, and it looks like we are going to be getting some much needed rain this week.

The start of the new month means it's time for another Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Challenge.

I managed one whole layout from my kit last month. I had hoped to get at least one more made, but I was too busy with other things. I plan on keeping what's left of my kit together, so I can get the other layout made when things slow down.

Here are the requirements for our March kit:

To create your kit, pull 3-5 patterned papers (any size), 2 - 3 embellishments, 2 - 3 cardstock sheets, alphas (stamps, stickers, etc.), and our focus item for our stash bash for March is enamel dots/bling.

Here is this month's kit:

I went a little bigger with my kit this month, starting my kit with Pretty Little Studio's A Beautiful Day 8x8 papers. Tara over at The Paper Snob Community on Facebook hosts "Designer Deep Dive" every month, and the designer/manufacturer for March is none other than Pretty Little Studio. Whether I officially play along with the group or just play along on my own remains to be seen. Whatever the case, I am going to have fun using some of my {neglected} Pretty Little Studio goodies.

Here are the papers I have pulled to use. Since they are 8x8, I pulled a few more than the required 3-5:

These papers are so fun, but they do have a glossy finish to them - which, for some reason, always makes me hesitant to use them. I don't know why other than I just prefer non-glossy papers, but I am going to do my best to get over that!

Here are the cardstock papers I pulled:

I might have gone a little overboard with how many cardstock papers I pulled, but I pulled the striped paper out and tried to match each color as closely as I could.

Here are the embellishments I have pulled:

As I was looking for all of my Pretty Little Studio's embellishments, I came across the Paige Evans Blooming Wild embellishments, and they match really well with this collection.

I pulled so many embellishments, so here is another photo to see everything a bit better:

And another photo of embellishments:

This box is full of cut-apart words and phrases from Pretty Little Studio.

Our focus for March is enamel dots/bling. I have a little pouch of mostly used enamel dot sheets, so I pulled all of the ones that had colors that matched this collection. I even put a mostly-used bling pack in my kit. I would love to get the majority of these little guys on layouts this month!

My apologies for the dark photos and the glare in the photos. I was forgetting that February is a short month! I thought I still had a couple of days!

I really am hoping to get more than one layout (of my own) done this month. I am continuing to work on my friend's album, so we shall see.

2. Snow Day Fun

Hello, hello! It's been a while since I've posted. That seems to be a recurring theme around here lately. Things have been busy, and I have been working on an album for a friend, but I finally made some time to scrap a layout for me using my February Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash kit!

I used the February 1st sketch from Sketch N Scrap for my layout. Here is a look at the sketch:

And my layout:

I snapped these photos of Ada back in January when we had our first (and only, so far) snow of the season. Ada and I had headed out for some fun in the snow. She made the perfect snowball and then gave it a toss in my direction! We had so much fun that day, and we were so glad it finally warmed up enough for us to go out and enjoy it!

Everything on this layout is from my February kit, with the exception of the red enamel hearts. I had included a pack of puffy hearts in my kit, but they were a little too big for what I wanted.

Here are a couple of close-ups:

Our focus item for February is doilies, so I pulled out a doily die set in three different sizes and cut out a set. I added a punched or die-cut snowflake to each doily, then added a snowflake sticker (to two), a word-phrase sticker, and an enamel heart to finish each cluster.

I am also playing along with Lasting Memories February 15th challenge - LM #786 - The Power of Words - Word Stickers. I used 3 word stickers on my layout.

It was fun getting back to making a layout for me!

Be sure to check out the fun sketches at Sketch N Scrap and the fun scrappy challenges at Lasting Memories.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! Have a great day!
