A little break from Halloween. I used Twisted Sketch 21 for this layout.

Trick or Treat

Trick or Treating in our neighbourhood was past Sunday. We were lucky that the weather was great and the girls were able to wear their costumes without the coats. Lila was an Eskimo girl and Ella was cheetah of course. Eli also joined them on their candy quest as a little black cat.The cutest black cat that was ever seen if you ask me :)

The little pumpkins are stamped on some orange patterned paper and colored with Slick Writers. The stamps and the dimensional embellishments are from the Target dollar spot. Cheap and cute!

More ruffles

It looks like I am in my ruffles period, I just can't control it :)
So here are some more ruffles, pearls and bling.

When I saw those lavender pearl swirls from Zva Creative, right away I knew that I have perfect pictures for them - Lila in her 5th grade graduation outfit. I added some sparkle with clear crystals. I was able to cut few smaller pieces from the swirls and rearrange them the way I liked. The lavender polka dot paper that serves as photo mat is sprayed with purple glimmer mist.

I used a bracket shaped paper by Jenni Bowlin as a template to cut the purple wood grain paper. I than stitched on the ribbon gathering it as I go.

Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill), patterned paper (GCD studios, Melissa Frances), pearls and crystals (Zva Creative), Glimmer mist (Tattered Angles), rubons (Maya Road), ribbon (Papertrey ink), punches (Fiskars), sketch (Pinky for Treasured Scrapbooking)

Here I used the pearl oval frames to frame the pictures and the journaling. It was super easy - peel off the frame, place it where you want it and cut around the frame

The frames overlap each other and raised with pop dots on their left side. Tissue paper ruffle is tucked under the frames. (I know, ruffles again. I want to promise it will be my last ruffles layout but I still can't)

Happy Birthday Mom!

Yes, October is full of birthdays. First my little sister, mine birthday was 2 weeks ago and today is my mom's birthday. So, just wanted to say - Happy birthday!

I made this little accordion book for my mom. The girls wrote their wishes for grandma and I added the pictures (that we taken in the rain and fog). Mom, I was late shipping it so I thought I will post it here to let you know that it is coming.

Ruffles

Old pictures (1992!) + Jenni Bowlin October kit + some scissors work + machine stitched paper ruffle = new layout


The journaling is in Hebrew, it just felt right because the pictures were taken in Israel. Huge rub-on sheet serves as a photo mat.


The ruffle was inspired by the latest Moxie Fab World Challenge Go there and check all the fabulous ruffles inspired projects. Yummy!

For my paper ruffle I used one of the decorative stitches on my sewing machine to stitch in the middle of the ruffle

And here is something completely different. A door sign to let my girls know that Eli is sleeping and they need to be quite or else...

I altered a piece of cardboard from my scrap bin. I drew the clouds and cut them out. I added Cloud 9 felt flowers and some Zva Creative pearls (they are awesome!) The top edge of the sign is covered by a paper ruffle stitched in place.The chipboard letter are from Target dollar spot. They were pink with white polka dots. I removed the pink paper, inked them with 2 tones of blue ink and covered with gold glimmer mist. The sleeping chicks are done with Fiskars squeeze punch.

7 Days of Creation according to Ella

After our move we signed up the girls for Hebrew school. They both speak Hebrew well but we want them to know how to read and also learn about our traditions.

Well, this past Sunday Ella's class learned about the 7 Days of Creation. She came home excited and told us all about what was created when and than added - And on the 7th day G-d created the food. After I finished laughing I asked her why she thinks so. She showed me a worksheet that they made in class. The picture for the 7th day showed Shabbat dinner table with candles, wine and challah. She just picked up the clues from the picture :)
