Can you say three legged downward facing dog?

I was looking though my 2001 photo album and found 2 photos from Lila's preschool taken at some kind of mommy and me activity. Not sure what exactly it was but we are on the mats, doing something that resembles yoga.

Yoga is on my mind recently, because few weeks ago I joined yoga studio and I have to admit it is not going so well. At least it helped me to come up with the title.

I used My Scraps & More Sketch #97 and Crate Paper "Oh Darling" collection with some DCWV papers thrown in a mix.

Supplies: patterned paper (Crate Paper, DCWV),  letter stickers (WRMK), big brush markers (Faber Castell), wood frames (Freckled Fawn), label stickers (Teresa Collins), metal dots (Heidi Grace), stamp (Heidi Swapp), heart punch (Fiskars), glimmer mist (Tattered Angels), Silhouette Cameo

I painted the wooden frames with Faber Castell markers and misted them with Glimmer Mist.

I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut the title and stamped few arrows under it.

Thanks for stopping by today. We are waiting for the blizzard to hit. The schools are cancelled for tomorrow. I hope to sneak some scrapping time! Stay warm!

First grade

I have a new post on Love My Tapes blog. I love this picture of my little boy on the first day of school and so glad that I got to scrap it and put it in his album.

I used 4 different washi tapes and Bella Blvd "Midterm" papers.

Supplies: patterned paper (Bella Blvd), cardstock (American Crafts), washi tapes (Love My Tapes), label stirckers (Teressa Collins), letter stickers (American Crafts), glimmer mist (Tatered Angles), paint markers (Faber Castell), gel pen (WRMK), Sharpie

I used blue sharpie to add color to the washi tape stars. I already had a bunch of small stars punched out of the shipping tags. I misted them first with Burnt Red glimmer mist and than colored with the PITT Big Brush marker in Deep Scarlet Red. After it was all dry I doodled a star shape with a gel marker.

I have some good news for all washi tape lovers. You can buy the tapes that I used and many many others including lace and fabric tapes and fabulous adhesive at brand new Love My Tapes etsy shop. You can get free shipping in January with $25 purchase. You can never have too much washi tape, right?

Card from the East

While cleaning up my desk desk after making the last two layouts I decided to use the scraps from "The Far East" stack to make a card. I used the January DCWV sketch

I added the gold Teresa Collins letter stickers and few sequins from my stash to compliment the foils accents of the paper. The punched border was made with Martha Stewart punch.

P.S. I would love to know what the Chinese characters mean. Anyone?
