Frosty Snowflake Panel

Hi guys

I'm writing this post surrounded by cold and flu tablets, cough medicine, tissues, honey and lemon, and I've been in my PJs all day feeling sorry for myself.

But I wanted to come back and share another of this year's Christmas cards before the year is out!  And this is another that was made to order.

On a panel of white cardstock I masked a vertical strip and began by stamping and heat embossing a few snowflakes in white.  I then used the emboss resist technique and blended three colours of Distress Ink over the top.  I then stamped a few more snowflakes in pigment inks and splattered some shimmer using a mix of mica powder and water.  The shimmery splatters can be seen better below.

I removed the masks and stamped the 'Merry Christmas', and then heat embossed 'Sister' in silver and die cut with it's co-ordinating die.  The panel was then popped up on fun foam.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Stunning Snowflakes; Clearly Besotted - Many Mini Messages, Sugar and Spice (and co-ordinating die)
  • Ink: VersaMark; Distress Ink - Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass, Dusty Concord; Versa Color - Lilac, Lavender, Grape; Versafine - Onyx Black
  • Embossing Powder: Wow! - Opaque Bright White, Metallic Silver
  • Mica Powder: Honey Doo Crafts - White Opal

Cheery Robins

Hi there

Another Christmas card for you!  This one was made for a friend to give to my brother and sister-in-law.  They love nature, particularly birds, so I chose to create these cute little robins, together with winter hats!

I started by stamping the hats and then masked them to stamp the birds which are from a builder stamp set.  I coloured the hats with ProMarkers.  The birds were then fussy cut.  On a panel of pale blue cardstock I stamped the branch and the sentiment, and then masked these before spreading some Nuvo glimmer paste through a snowflake stencil.  The robins were then popped up on 3D foam.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Wplus9 - All Year Cheer; Clearly Besotted - Arctic Animals (hats)
  • Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black; Versafine - Onyx Black; Altenew - Rocky Shore, Mocha, Espresso, Coral Berry, Rouge
  • Coloured with ProMarkers
  • Blue cardstock from stash
  • Stencil: Memory Box - Tiny Snowflakes
  • Accents: Nuvo Glimmer Paste - Moonstone

I'm nearly done, just a couple more to share very soon :)

Merry Kissmas

Hi there

I'm now not feeling very festive after returning to work today but I'm back this evening and yes, you've guessed it...I'm still sharing this year's Christmas cards!

This is the card I made for my boyfriend...

This was super easy to make.  I first stamped the mice then die cut them with a stitched circle die.  I then stamped the sentiment below and the mistletoe above, as it was easier to position once the circle was cut.  The images were then coloured with ProMarkers.  I adhered a panel of deep red cardstock to the card base then popped the circle up on 3D foam.  I finished by adding a little Glossy Accents to the mistletoe berries, which can be seen better below.

Materials used:

  • Stamps: Clearly Besotted - Kiss Me Quick
  • Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black; Versafine - Onyx Black
  • Die: MFT Die-namics - Double Stitched Circle Stax
  • Coloured with ProMarkers
  • Red cardstock from stash
  • Accents: Glossy Accents

Winter Foliage

Hi guys

Back this time with a card I made for an order.  For this one I went with some traditional winter foliage stamps.

I stamped all the foliage first, directly on the card base with a little masking for the pine cone.  I then stamped the Merry Christmas and embossed in gold, and did the same with the die cut sentiment strip, embossed in gold on red cardstock.

Materials used:

  • Stamps: Uniko - Winter Foliage, Jingle Bells, Fontiments Birthday (ampersand!); Clearly Besotted - Scrumptious Script, For Everyone
  • Ink: Altenew - Forest Glades, Evergreen, Moss, Ruby Red, Mocha, Espresso; VersaMark
  • Embossing Powder: Wow! - Metallic Gold Rich
  • Die: MFT Die-namics - Stitched Sentiment Strips
