More Cards with My Monthly Superhero kit!

Hi friends!

I have more cards to share made with the May "Yay Day" kit from Hero Arts.

Learn all about the My Monthly subscriptions HERE!

In this post both of my cards have been made with the Superhero kit and I love how they both turned out. Let's have a closer look!

Card 1
Sometimes you get very fun looks if you combine stamped images and die cut shapes -I love how this card turned out with the small tags and stamped, die cut and colored in birthday icons! The Superhero kit includes an alphabet die set which was very fun to play with... And the size happens to be perfect for the tags, also included in the kit!

All stamps and dies come from the Hero Arts May Superhero Kit

With this card I'd like to join the following challenges:

Card 2

If you want to try something different with die cutting, use only one color of cardstock! I went with an all white look here and created texture and color shade difference by bringing in white glitter card, using acetate for the balloon and adding white embellishments too.

My Monthly Hero for May is Here!

Happy May Everyone!

A new month means there's a new Hero Arts My Monthly available... Either My Monthly Hero kit for $45 ($88 value) or My Monthly Superhero kit for $75 ($155 value).

In this post I'm sharing one card made with the standard kit and another with the superhero version and I'll be back later in May with more inspiration!

The kit theme for May is "Yay Day", the kit includes lots of additions to your celebratory card making stash: balloon shaker dies, a gift box die, birthday images and sentiments and much more!

Don't miss any of it, click HERE

Card 1

In this card I've been playing with the large gift box die and the cute and scripty Happy Birthday sentiment die. I've cut the box pieces from the cardstocks included in the kit and I've then given the die cut pieces a bit more dimension with inks, markers and Wink of Stella. I've also spattered gold water color for extra shine and detail! For the background I used a die called Swirls and Confetti Die -very festive and a perfect addition to use with the kit!

With this card I'd like to join these challenges:

The Paper Funday Challenges: Anything Goes + Die Cuts
Die Cut Divas: Celebrations

Card 2

My second card showcases the beautiful balloon shaker die and one of the cute Birthday sentiments of the Superhero kit. I was lucky to find sticky back vellum in my stash -I thought it was perfect to use as the highlights of the balloon on top of the clear acetate!

With this card I'd like to join these challenges:

Allsorts Challenges: Anything Goes
613 Avenue Create: Anything Goes

The May kits are great value (as the kits always are!) with versatile and very detailed, fun products that go together super well. I had a blast creating these cards and I'll be back in a couple of days with more cards created with the kit. Thank you for popping by!

Colorful Orchids!

Hi friends!

I'm here with a quick post sharing a card I made with some Hero Arts products. Coloring this orchid background took quite some time but I do think it was worth it in the end! I decided on a simple celebratory die cut sentiment to keep the rest of the card very simple. The products I used are:

I've colored the flowers in with Copics. The background is so vivid and colorful that I really thought a die cut sentiment was all this card needed in addition to it... Let me know what you think of it!

More Inspiration With My Monthly Hero for April!

Hi friends!

I'm back with more inspiration for April My Monthly Hero by Hero Arts. The kit is called Plant Lade Society and it's filled with fun dies, stamps and sentiments, perfect for all plant and flower lovers! There's two options: the standard kit for $45 ($88 value) or the Superhero kit for $75 ($155 value). In this post I'm sharing three cards made with the Superhero version of the kit. Make sure to head on over to Hero Arts store for more information about the kits!

Card 1
Stamped and marker colored plants

This card is one of the favorites I've made with the kit! I love coloring in and smallish images like these come to life with some marker coloring so easily and fast. I used shelf stamps and dies from On the Shelf Stamp and Cut set to create my card design with the planters and I love how it turned out!

I'd like to join:
Allsorts Challenge: Anything Goes
613 Avenue Create: Anything Goes
Stamping Sensations: Inspired by Nature

Card 2
Die cut watering can with sparkly greenery

The cute little watering can with greenery is a super sweet addition in the kit... Perfect for sweet little CAS cards! I sponged a simple halo blue background for my watering can and simply stamped the sentiments instead of heat embossing, to add to the CAS feel. I've added plenty of glitter glue to the greenery pieces so despite of the simplicity, this card has plenty of texture! Also the heart is shiny, I did the trick where you cover your card stock with packing tape before die cutting it. Works like a charm!

I'd like to join:
A Cut Above Challenge: Anything Goes
Pick 3 Challenges: Text, Die Cuts, CAS

Card 3
Die cut tulips on a vase

These tulip dies would have a third layer, but in my excitement of making the card, I didn't realize to use it lol! I do think they still look like tulips though so no harm done. :) I combined the dies and stamped sentiments from the kit with a beautiful frame die called Floral Window -I just love how the vase pops from the background!

I'd like to join:
Die Cut Divas: Birthday

Before I sign off for today, here are still the product photos of the kits. Make sure to check them out HERE if you are intrigued!

April My Monthly Hero Kits Are Here!

Happy April Everyone!

A new month means there's a new Hero Arts My Monthly available... Either the standard kit for $45 ($88 value) or the Superhero kit for $75 ($155 value). In this post I'm sharing one card made with the standard kit and another with the Superhero version. I think this might be my favorite Hero Arts kit this year so far! I had a blast and ended up making 7 cards during one weekend... I love this "Plant Lady Society" kit, it's so fun!

Card 1
Shaker Card With My My Monthly Hero Kit

Immediately after seeing the greenhouse die I knew I wanted to make a shaker card. I used a lot of white scrap card stock for creating the shaker -I figured glueing several die cuts together was a more sturdy option than using foam behind the shaker window. It did work out super well and I'm so pleased of the end result! I also cut many plants, hanging pots and of course the cute cat from the kit too, using the card stock that comes in the kit. I wanted a very subtle background so I used the Birdsong Script Background stamp for stamping a tone on tone background. The heat embossed sentiment comes from the stamp sent included in the My Monthly Kit. Have a look at the whole kit in the photo below!

Allsorts Challenge: Springtime/ Anything Goes

Card 2
Colored in Die Cuts with My Monthly Superhero Kit

The star features of this card are the stunning floral die cuts that come in the Superhero kit. I cut them from the card stocks that come in the kit and added some Copic marker shading to them. I used sentiment stamps from the kit as well, again heat embossed with white powder. I found some dark teal card from my stash, I think the flowers pop beautifully from it! Have a look at the Superhero kit in the picture below:
