Music And Dance
There is something about this guy that just makes me smile. It might be his jaunty hat or way his cheeks are puffed out, but I can hear his sax in my head. Our challenge at The Paper Shelter (in case you haven't checked) is Music and Dance. I hope you will play along with us and show us your music and dance cards. I used "The Saxophonist" for my card, you can find him here! As usual you can win a fabulous prize. So, join the fun and you might be the next winner!

Animals/Pets ***
It's time for a fun challenge at The Paper Shelter! This is one that is near and dear to my heart "Animals/Pets". We lost both of our yellow labs within one year and it was heartbreaking for us. Each brought such love and unique personalities to our home. They both were so funny and loving that we will feel their loss for a long time. I pray for all the people in California, Montana, Wyoming, Washington, Oregon and else where that are struggling with the devastation fires. I am also heartbroken from the loss of animals because of the raging fires. I was raised in a logging, sawmill town and have seen true forest management swept aside by the Sierra Club! These out of control fires are due to their interference in a lifestyle and forest management practices they don't understand. OK....I will get off my soap box and ask all of you to join our fun challenge and show us your pets and/or animals. I chose "A Beautiful Day" stamp for my card. just love that cute stamp! I had this cute paw print paper in my stash and added some grass and flowers to my card!

I guess by now everyone is either back to school, home schooling, virtual school or?? Not sure what else is out there! My grandsons are are all on a different schedule! Two are attending school every other day and then doing virtual school on off days. The youngest is going every day. All of this may change depending on how the Covid virus plays out. I am so ready for all the Covid mess to be over and all of us able to get back to our 'normal' routine! At least things are the same at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog! It is time for a "Back To School" challenge. Show us your back to school cards! I chose "Ready for School" for my cards. I wanted to send two cards and so I just changed the colors a bit and made two with this same image! I am entering these cards in the following challenges:

Summer Holiday Challenge! ***
I actually colored this stamp twice! The front of the card is the one above (she is reading in the sun) and the bottom one is a full moon and she is still reading!
I trid to make the sunlight with deeper colors and the bottom one is more muted. It was a fun card to make and hopefully will brighten someone's day. The stamp I used is called Hammock Days!

I had so much fun with this card. I just love the cute, sassy look on her face.
I colored the image and then used liquid glass to accent all the gum and bubbles. I added some cute sparkly beads fromt Queen &Co. to make more gum bubbles. Some tiny bows and roses were added to her hair. I added a little shine to the her ear ring and necklace. This cute little digi stamp is from The Paper Shelter
she is called "Bubble Trouble"

Things With Wings
Does anyone else have pads of paper that has those sheets of paper that you just don't know what to do with? It might not be your style or the wrong colors...it just doesn't work! I have been trying to challenge myself to use those papers. This was one of the papers and once I put it with this darling fairy from The Paper Shelter. I loved it! What do you think? This cute stamp is called "A Nice Tan" and you can click on the link to go directly to it! I colored it with my Copics and then fussy cut it and popped it on the paperI added a few pearls and some cut little flowers and a die cut sentiment! I really loved how it worked with the paper.
It is time for a new challenge at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog. This time we want to see "Things With Wings". I hope you will play along and you just might be our big winner!

Flower Power
Are you ready for summer? It is so nice to be able to have windows and doors open and let fresh air in. With the quarantine partially lifted and the sun shining it is only natural for me to be putting flowers and color around our home. How about you? Are you enjoying the fabulous start to summer? I hope so. If nothing else this quarantine has made me appreciate so much that I took for granted. I am blessed in so many ways. Thank you to all my friends I have made along the way with this crazy addictive card making!
It is time for a fun challenge at The Paper Shelter! This week the challenge is Flower Power! Show us your flowers and you might be our big winner! I used "Circus" for my card. Isn't she a cutie? I look forward to when I can take the Grandson's out for fun times like the circus, our Cherry Festival which has been canceled this year, the first time in 87 years. But, safe over sorry. So, enjoy this time and make a card....you will be glad you did!
