Back to School

Well the Summer Holidays are almost over, so for this weeks Polka Doodles Digi Choosday project I have made a card for my Son who goes into year 2, his final year of infants school - wow where has the time gone?

One of the things he loves do is make Crystals, so I thought the cute Science Geek would be the perfect image to use. All the classes in his school are named by colour and he will be going into PINK class, hence the pink background.

I created the sentiment and the DNA strand in Silhouette Studio.

I added some Glossy accents to the Bottles and Glasses, not very visible in the photos

Urban

Today I would like to share a card I have made for my Sisters 30th. She is not a girly girl, so I used a fab image from Make it Crafty Called Urban Keisha.

I started by merging her with an urban street scene also from MIC, then found a Graffiti font to add the sentiment.

I Coloured with Copics, soooo many that I lost track of what I used!!

I kept the layout as a single layer with no embellies, as I thought the image was enough.

Sparkle Frame

It's time for a new challenge at Digi Choosday and as usual now it is 'Anything Goes', so no excuse not to join in :)

I started by spraying some watercolor card with a mix of purple and blue inks and once dry some perfect pearls.

I had every intention of doing a conventional square card and then found this small frame I brought some time ago in the pound shop.

So I cut the background down and used the Summertime STAMP ME set to create a dragonfly and also stamps some flowers. I added a few dots of Stickles around the base of the flowers and a little trail behind the dragonfly.

It looked a little plain, so I edged the frame in flat back diamonds for lots of sparkle.
