More Jumpy Place Fun

Evan got invited to another birthday party and the funny thing is we are regulars now at the "jumpy place" that they know us. The guys were pretty impressed when we came in late and Ian still knew all the answers to the safety questions without watching the video. But they always have fun and get to burn a bunch of energy off!

Making Pet Rocks

Ian has been talking about making pet rocks at school so Evan wanted to get in on the fun too. We found some good sized rocks on the walk home from school and painted them after we got home.

Pinewood Derby

The cub scouts had their pinewood derby this past weekend and both of the boys made a car to enter into the races!! Ian raced in the Wolf Den. There were a lot of Wolves participating, Darren's little den had a great showing!! Ian's car is the green one in the center.
Evan raced his in the Cubmaster catagory with the other siblings and parents. Evan's car is the green camo car.
You can tell we live in a technology world. Here are my kids before the races. We had to be there early because Darren was in charge of registering everyone's car. Evan brought along Darren's old CD walkman with some books on CD.
And Ian listened to his playlist on my iPod. I hadn't even thought to bring the PSP but a lot of other kids had theirs.
Ian was asked to stand up and lead the cub scouts in the cub scout promise. I was very proud of him!!

We learned a lot from our first pinewood derby. Darren and Ian are already planning what to do different with his car for the next race!!

Birthday Party Fun

Evan's little friend Natalie had a Jedi birthday party at Chuck E Cheese last week. He wore his Clone Trooper outfit and had a blast playing all the games. I really don't mind Chuck E Cheese as much as I always thought I would. This is Evan sitting in the roller coaster simulator. It is his favorite!!

A milestone reached: Ian can now take pills and doesn't have to get his medication in liquid form!! Quite a big boy!!
