SNOW

The first snow of our stay in Korea happened over night.  It wasn't much and most of it was ice but it was enough to get a 2 hour delay from school this morning.  The kids wanted to play in it so badly and I had to let them.  It was mostly ice and wasn't very good for making snowballs but that didn't stop the boys from trying!

And isn't Evan's hat so cute!  We don't know what the guy is, we think he must be some Korean character but it was so cute and he was wanting one of these hats like all the other kids here are wearing!!

Running Club Party

Ian has been participating in the Humphreys Road Runners Running Club since August now.  In that time he has run over 65 miles, I am very proud of him!  The Road Runners had a little party to celebrate how great they have all been doing and Ian got an award for being the most determined runner of the pack.

Happy Thanksgiving

I have a lot to be thankful for this year.

I am thankful for all my family and friends near and far.  I appreciate all the words of encouragement and prayers that have been sent to our family.  Keep them coming, they are giving us much comfort.

I decided to ask the boys each what they are thankful for this year and here is what they said.

Ian is thankful for...
  1. my little brother
  2. food
  3. sports/boy scouts
Evan is thankful for...
  1. mom and dad
  2. Ian
  3. toys and food
I'm not cooking this year, we are going for Thanksgiving dinner at the dining facility.  We thought the boys might enjoy the experience and I can make a turkey and all the fixings at any time because I love eating Thanksgiving dinner all year round.  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Say a Prayer Please

Say a prayer for my husband.  Over the past couple of months my hubby has been having some pain and swelling and finally went to the doctor and after waiting for the referal to go through to get seen by a specialist we have found out that he has testicular cancer.  He is going up to the bigger hospital up in Seoul at the end of the week to meet with yet another doctor and find out what course of treatment they want to do.  It is scary and it has happened so fast.  One day we were a happy family without a care in the world and now everything normal seems so strange.

So if you are the praying type, say a prayer for him.  Having been a radiation therapist I know all the facts and statistics but it is really different when it is right there in your family.  And thanks in advance, I can't believe how many people have shown their love for me and my family so far.  I feel so blessed to have all of them in my life!

Just have to announce!!

We will be moving onto post next month!  We got the phone call today from the housing office and they offered us a unit!!  This will be the first time we have lived on post since our first duty station after his inital schools.  I know it will be different for us but I just can't stress how much more convienent it will be for us.  The boys' school is literally right outside the buildings doors.  The parking is underground so the car will stay snow-free in the winter.  We can walk any where on post or take the post bus.  And I will no longer spend more time during the day with the gate guards than I do my own husband!!

And the biggest plus in the entire world -- AIR CONDITIONING NEXT SUMMER!!!!

Big Statue Layout

Using up more stuff from my desk, eventually I will use up all the little bits and break open some new stuff right.  What do you do with all the usable bits, I just can't bring myself to throw them but I have so much other stuff that I want to play with.  Guess I need to either use more stuff on my layouts or I need to scrap faster!!

Octopus Layout

Just a simple layout trying to use up some leftovers sitting on my table.  Pictures are of Evan in 2007 at the Sea World San Antonio Aquarium.
