Cherish History

Hello Monday and welcome to the last day of February.  Today I am sharing the LO that I completed for the Black History Month Bingo Challenge over at Scraps of Color.  The LO uses pictures taken last January when we went to the Black HistoryMuseum for MLK Day.  They have since relocated to another building, so we need to make plans to go there soon.   One of the elements on the card was to include an embellished ATC, which I stenciled the background and added a die that I cut with the my cricu using the December/January classroom cartridge which I glimmer misted (hard to see in the picture).  The January calendar was cut from a 2015 Black History calendar.  This makes my 8th completed LO for 2016, not too far behind now!

Take care, wishing you and yours a fabulous week!

Friday Musings

It's the weekend, sure hope I can make it through the work day since it is now 2:25 in the morning and I am wide awake.  I missed the news so I was asleep before 11:00 but was awaken  as my DH was working from bed but eventually decided he needed to go in.

Today I am sharing a LO that has been siting unfinished for quite sometime.  It uses pictures taken when my BIL was the guest speaker during scholarship Sunday at my in-laws church.  Everything used has been in my stash for at least two years or more; I cut the church die using my SLICE. I cut the little flags with my little Crafter's Companion Diamond Press machine that I purchased during one of HSN's craft shows; of course I didn't need it!   I am sharing this LO for  challenge #212 -more than one photo over at  Use Your Stuff.   Another LO (first 2 -page) completed for my 2016 challenge.

Thank you for your visit, have a great weekend.

Thinking of You

Hello Tuesday, it is raining very hard here so I am thinking about sleep!   I am back today to share another card made at the request of one of the FB card Angels.  This card has gone postal to a couple that is going through some challenges because of cancer.  I pray that God will give them the strength to accept his will.  The paper and flower are items from my stash, can't remember which paper pad I used since the paper were taken from my scrap stash.  I am sharing this super clean and simple card for challenge #239 over at Hiding in my Craft Room, sketch inspiration for this card came from challenge #108 over at Can You Case It?

Thank you for your visit and I hope you have a Terrific Tuesday!

Smile

Hello and Happy Sunday, the sun is shining and we have warm temps but the forecast calls for rain.  So my plans for today after church include running a few errands, cook dinner  and play!  I surely hope I don't get side tracked.  Today I am sharing my fifth LO for my 2016 challenge, still behind but making progress!  The LO uses a picture of my daughter taken with a local news personality, who was the guest speaker at a NAACP awards banquet.  The pattern paper is from a K&Co. Specially pad, the flowers, doily and wood veneer cameras are embellishments that are always in my stash.  I used the Create-a-Critter cartridge for the title and the Nifty Fifties cartridge for the retro television.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll come back soon.  Wishing you and yours a wonderful week.
