Thistle Garden

Happy Wednesday everyone!!!

This week is IMPRESSION OBSESSION WEEK at Stamper's Dream!!! I have the pleasure of showing you the new Thistle Garden image.  I had fun playing with this image I actually made two different cards!!!

My first card was inspired by this weeks SFYTT Sketch and the colors are from this weeks Color Curtain Act #23 - using Kraft, Pretty in Pink and Black. The image was inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers. I added some *faux stitching* on the edges of the DP. At last I added the Silver Pearls, the Black Satin Ribbon and the Sparkly Flowers.

The second card was designed after the Mojo132 Sketch and the colors are again from the Color Curtain Act#23. The image was again inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers. The second white layer was embossed with the Elegant Bouquet Texture Die. I finished the card off with some Black Checker Ribbon and some Silver Pearls.

Please stop by Tosh, Michelle, Cammie and Amy for more fabulous IO creations!!! If you haven't had a chance to follow along please stop by this post right HERE!!!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - FTTC60

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

I'm so thrilled that we are having gorgeous weather here this week....my kiddos are on spring break and we'll be heading to the beach tomorrow....I know crazy huh?!? We love to hang out at the beach...just kickin' back playing ball, frisbee and collecting sea shells :) !!! Life is good...LOL!!!

Well, are you ready for the next Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - FTTC60 ???  I know you will love this one!!! Our Guest Designer, my sweet and fabulous friend Denise Marzec is hosting today and she has an Inspiration Challenge  waiting for us!!! Please use any of the three inspiration photos that can be found over at the FTTC Blog. Feel free to make a card for each ic-photo!!!  We can't wait to see which one you will choose...please make sure to tell us which photo inspired you!!!

I chose this beautiful tray image......not only because I love the checker designs, but it gave me a reason to ink up one of my favorite Flourishes Sets called Strawberries.

Here is my take on it................

I inked the image with Memento Black and colored it with these Copic Marker Collections  - Buttercup, Sweet PeaPoppy, Holly and Colorless Blender. The sentiment is from the Many Sentiments Set. The Sketch is from my Collection and you can see it right HERE. The Real Red CS was scored in 1/4" intervals.

The border was punched with the MS Flower Punch and I added some Red Hero Arts Gemstones in the center. At last I added the Red Checker Ribbon.

Please stop by Barbara Anders, Betty Wright, Cindy Haffner, Dee Jackson, Denise Marzec and Makiko Jones to see their take on the inspiration photos.

I want to give a quick shout out to my OCC buddy Jenny Gropp.....she is leaving as well and I hope you all leave her some love!!!

With this said I would like to tell you about this weeks OCC Challenge.....I created this Sketch and I hope you like it??? I also invited a sweet friend of mine - Robin Kirkpatrick - to be our Guest Designer. Please make sure to stop by Robin's blog to see her gorgeous card and take on the Sketch!!! Robin is currently designing for a company called Repeat Impressions and Wendy, the owner has generously agreed to sponsor a $25 Gift Certificate for this weeks prize - wahoooo!!! Thank you Robin for joining me and Wendy thank you for being so generous!!! To find out on how to play along please swing by the OCC Blog!!!

Here is my take on the Sketch........

We are invited to a wedding in April and I thought I go ahead and prepare a card in advance!!! My main inspiration came from this weeks IC225 - Thymes. I chose this Bath Salt Envelope and ran with the beautiful colors...but kept it more on the pink/green side!!!

The flower image is from the SU Ever After Set. The sentiment is from the SU Special Blessing Set.
I inked them both in Memento Black and colored the flowers with these Copic Markers - C1, G24, R85 plus Colorless Blender. The BG was embossed with the SU Perfect Details Texturz Plate Die. The DP on the side is from the SU Bella Rose Collection and the scalloped border was created with the Scalloped Edge Punch. I accessorized the card with Pink Satin Ribbon and Silver Pearls.

Okay guys now it's your turn....I'm looking forward seeing how you use the Sketch!!!
