Masculine Cards

Hello Flourishes Friday Friends! Today we're going to continue on our theme of masculine cards that we began last week, giving you some more great inspiration for that guy in your life! The Senior Design Team is picking any set in our Flourishes Stamp Collection and showing off their masculine designs to you today. I know you'll be inspired and come away with some great manly ideas!

As you can see for my card, I created a whole farm scene using Country Road.  I used 2 images in this set to achieve the look I was going for.  I wanted to keep it simple with out using patterned papers, ribbon and machine stitching.  Probably something completely different than you are used to seeing here on my blog.  I sat and played around for hours trying to get exactly what I wanted.

Life is a Journey

I had a little alone time this evening so I  decided to make a quick card.  I hadn't used this sentiment yet and found it very inspiring.  Plus that pretty new MME paper has been calling my name.  ;)

The sketch at Sweet Sunday was a perfect fit for what I wanted to make.

Wishing You the Best

WOW!  Two days in a row...I am on a roll.  I needed a card for the Art teacher at school.  She is leaving to go teach at a private high school.  I know the kids are going to miss her a lot.  She is so patient with the kids we have in our class.  Heck, I am going to miss her.  I am hoping she will like this.

I wanted to use purple but after I thought about it, I didn't think she was much of a pastel purple person so I added some black to give a little different feel.

I used this sketch at Sweet Sunday but decided to flip it over on its side.

A Wish For You

Hello my sweet blog friends.  It was a cool rainy day here in Iowa.  After I went to the gym this morning,  I took the opportunity to head to my craft room.  I am excited to say that I was able to get 3 cards made today.  Two for the upcoming Flourishes release and this cutie from the last MFT release.

I used the paper piecing tutorial on the MFT blog the other day.  I don't normally do my paper piecing like that but I can see how this looks a lot better.  I took the picture from the side so you could see how her arm is pieced on top of her dress.
