JustRite Papercraft August Release Day 3

Good morning everyone.  I have another card today using more of Becca Feeken's gorgeous dies as well as a stamp set that she designed.  The dies are called Filigree Corners and the stamp set is Looking For A Sign.

My card base was created by using a gorgeous die from Spellbinders named 5 x 7 Detailed Scallops.  I then cut a piece of designer paper to mat the inside of the Spellbinders die.

Next I used the Filigree Corner die to create 2 green corner pieces for my card.  This die is so perfect for almost any project.  I'm sure that I will be using it on some future scrapbook pages.

I then chose a pretty sentiment from Looking For A Sign along with the nice frame stamp also in this set.  I stamped these onto a piece of white cardstock that I had already stamped with Elegant Fronds Background. I thought that it looked much better than a plain piece of white cardstock.

Here is a look at both items that I used to create this pretty card

JustRite August release Day 1

Good morning everyone.  Today is the first day of the JustRite August release.  Today's release is actually a beautiful die designed by Becca Feeken called "Lacey Tiers".

I used the Lacey Tiers die to create a Christmas ornament.  I created this ornament by accident.  As I was trying to figure out what I was going to create with the Lacey Tiers die I was playing with the diecut in my hands.  Just then it hit me - I folded 2 of the corners together and got 2 of the ornament points.  I diecut 4 of the Lacey Tiers, folded each one and adhered the centers together.

For the inside of the ornament I chose a sentiment from Christmas Inner Thoughts, diecut with Spellbinders Scallop Labels One.  The beautiful bow was made using ribbon from Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Here are the other JustRite designers also showing projects today using Lacey Tiers dies.

Wedding Shadow Box

Good morning everyone.  Today I have a photo shadow box that I created using a canvas mat that I purchased at AC Moore.  All I did was turn it over and use the back side instead of the  canvas side.  This is a photo of my daughter on her wedding day last September.

To prep the 8 x 10 canvas, I applied 2 layers of Gesso to the inside portion of the canvas, allowing each layer to dry completely before applying the next layer.  This helps to stiffen the canvas. Next I painted the wooden area of the canvas frame with black paint.  Allow to dry completely.  I covered the staples on the canvas with some extra pieces of canvas along the outer edges.     To create the background, I tore several pieces of colored tissue paper, placing them randomly onto the canvas and then apply decoupage finish over each piece.  Wait for this to dry completely before going onto next step.

While I waited for everything to dry, I diecut all of my pieces - Grand Decorative Ovals One (photo mat), Nested Lacey Pennants ( banner),  Bitty Blossoms, Petite Ovals Large (photo)

Once dried I placed the  matted photo onto canvas.  Next apply pearl strands using Scor-tape around edge of painted area.  I created the banner by stamping chosen letters from JustRite Curlz Font onto burlap pieces.  The burlap pieces are then attached to a piece of wire using glue lines.  Tiny pearls are placed between each letter.  The banner is then attached to canvas using Scor-tape.

I applied metal corners using foam tape and then applied assembled Bitty Blossom flowers and decorative buttons randomly onto the canvas.  To finish off my project I added wedding bands with cake charm to the bottom of the canvas and adhered the metal word “Cherish” onto the bottom corner of the photo.

I actually did my first video tutorial for my project today.  You can check it out here:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXSuUTV06H8

Happiness...

Good morning everyone.  Today I have a bright and sunny card to share.  It is sure to cheer up anyone that I give it to.

To begin, I chose a scallop border stamp from Classic Lace Edges One, stamped onto yellow cardstock using Versamark, heat embossed with white embossing powder and diecut with Spellbinders Classic Edges Two.  I think it looks like real lace!  Each layer is matted onto black cardstock giving it lots of dimension.

For the center portion of the card I stamped the
