Thankful for ....

Thankful for...
crisp autumn air
fat yellow pumpkins
caramel apples
sweaters and mittens
leather boots
rainy days
pumpkin spice lattes
and you!

These sweet pumpkins which come from a photopolymer stamp set, Fall Fest, come with their own Thinlits for easy die-cutting.

Curled Old Olive leaves from Kinda Eclectic are a perfect accent for an autumn card. Stamp a few for the background and then fussy-cut a couple extra, curl with your Bone Folder and adhere them with a few Glue Dots.

The Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder, embossed only on the upper and lower edges of the card leave a neat blank canvas for stamping your sentiment.

How'd she do that? Simply emboss as usual running it through your Big Shot an inch or two from the bottom, turn the embossing folder around and emboss an inch or two from the top. Tada, a perfectly smooth area of cardstock to stamp on!

October's Class

Would you like to see my October Stamp, Snack and Chat Class?
I have two this month, October 9th and 10th, and I'm so excited about it! I've got such a great group of gals that are so fun to stamp with and it's always a great evening (or morning!) of creativity, conversation (oh, yeah!) and just good times. If you are in the Boise area, and would like to join us, email me at stampsnsmiles@gmail.com

Let's get ready for Thanksgiving... a sweet embossed pumpkin that holds some treats (a given at any of my classes) and can be used as a dinner table gift or place card. Burlap and felt leaves give it a warm feeling and topped off with the new chunky twine - you'll want to make a dozen!

Tags - this time of year requires tags. For all the holiday gifts, large or small. Pumpkin bread wrapped in a new autumn dish towel (don't you just love getting new dish towels?) and then topped with a sweet tag. We'll make a few in class.

Another look at the card we'll be creating with Gold Embossing and finished off with a watercolor background. This stamp set is just flat out gorgeous and has three sentiments that will see you right through Valentine's Day.

So in a nutshell, here's what the class consists of:
Two cards (the other one is a surprise!)
A sweet pumpkin full of treats
Three tags
A door prize
And always a little gift for coming!

Thursday, October 9th,  6:30 - 8 pm
or
Friday, October 10th, 10 - 11:30 am
Class fee: $10 includes all pre-cut supplies

Wanna Glamp?

I'm in love!
Is this not the cutest little glamper, ever?

I just had to share some fun, fun pics from an inspiring Friday evening outing with my daughter, Kirsten and daughter-in-law, Todesa. We attended the Roses and Rust Market here in Boise - first time for us, and found some great things to spend our $$'s on. Actually, it was to celebrate Todesa's birthday ..... along with dinner out at the Villages.

So, I came across this sweet glamper all decked out and am now on a mission to find one to restore. Have any of you attempted something like this?

Seriously, look at the "bedroom"! Sweet as can be!

Almost a kitchen, lol!

Looking forward to a few more fun shopping trips this fall!
